Some people pineapple, plop, or braid their hair.. I just let mine hang above my head (lazy) . Still experimenting on my routine. I'm trying to bring out more waves that I know I have but I think it's hiding from me. O.o Any tips?

I will be watching for the sugestions since this is a weak area in my routine. If i pineapple it pulls my waves out. If I braid my hair turns out wonky because I have layers. Its a wild mess if I leave it down because Im a bigtime tosser. Cant wait for the replies!

Pineapple, add a nickel of conditioner and water mixed and use a satin bonnet, then wake up, and if I need it add another nickel sized amount of conditioner and water and style. I use tresemme silicone free naturals conditioner for this.

I pineappled last night, and although I didn't have a satin bonnet, I still turned out pretty good and full of volume! It was a little frizzy, but some water and gel helped a lot. I gotta admit I was pretty impressed with the pineapple!

I very, very lightly spray with some watered down condish, pineapple, then put it in a satin sleep cap. In the morning take it out, respray, and smooth over separate clumps with the same mixture. Presto.

I just sleep normally and then wet my hair a tad & finger-comb it in the mornings. It is never as curly the next day, but it usually looks decent.

I hated pineappling and putting my hair in a sleep cap left it really flat. Right now, I just sleep with it down. It's always a bit messy the next day and I tame it as best I can with styling products the next day. If it's untameable, I just topknot it or pin it up.

I do a loose pineapple at night (loop the ponytail holder twice instead of 3 times like I would for an actual daytime ponytail), then in the morning I bend over, take out the holder, shake my hair loose, stand up, spritz it with a water+LI mix (a small travel size spray bottle filled with water and 2 drops of KCKT mixed in) and lightly scrunch to revive any wimpy waves, then smooth with a couple of drops of CK. I can get 3rd day hair doing it this way. Then on day 4 I wear it up and then wash on day 5.

I just spread my hair out over the pillowcase and let it be, haha. I have a nice smooth slippery pillowcase so my hair doesn't tangle or get flat

A satin pillowcase really helps, and if I spread my hair upward I sleep much better than if I try to pin it or pineapple it or wear a cap.Next morning, it sometimes looks great, sometimes needs dampening and fussing, sometimes needs the whole routine.

I do the same .. Just drape my hair over my pillow so I'm not sleeping on the ends. The next day my hair is a little looser in curl pattern but at least the ends don't go flat. The next day i just finger comb add a little coconut oil if necessary. Pineappling has never given me nice results since it made my hair more poofy and flat on top with a kink ( even with loose pony) if that makes any sense.

I loose pineapple it at night. In the morning I just take the scrunchy off and shake my head upside down. At first the hair looks a little funny and out of place but by the time I'm done with my morning routine my hair is in place. I get up to 3rd day hair with this depending on the weather of course. I get best results in hot, humid weather. I have hair only up to my shoulders. I think the longest you have it , the hardest it is to pineapple it too

i have shoulder length hair so pulling it into a pineapple pulls too hard on the sides. so instead i now do two pineapples? or just pigtails on top of my head loosely. this seems to work the best and i just part the pigtails where my part will be in the morning. spritzing is generally all i need in the morning. ive been able to get 3rd day hair this way also. my hair has always looked better the longer between washes.
