I don't see very many 2A's on here. Anyone with tips for a newbie?!

sarahlacy - I kinda feel like you = 1.5 years since going CG and my hair does not look that much better. But I agree - going "natural" is not really an option either because our hair does not just straighten.

HairObsessed - thanks for your post! I decided not to try the spray gel because my hair hates mag sulfate. HATES! But I do want to find a good spray gel cause I agree it could be easier to apply. I tried Pantene Curly Hair Spray Gel, but it does not have enough hold at all.

This thread is awesome! HairObsessed - I think you might be my super hair twin. Since you like LAL Spray Gel I want to try - how do you use it, exactly?

Back to Colormemichelle's request for advice . . . I am still really trying to figure out as nothing seems to work for very long. But I would definitely recommend trying KCCC. I thought it would weigh me down but it gives me a ton of curl enhancement/definition. The only issue I have is that I think I need to rotate it out with other stuff because it can weigh down over time. Give it a try!

I think im a 2A wave, with low porosity i think, im not sure because after i shampoo my hair gets really dry and big and f;luffy but after 3-4 days of not washing it gets oily in the roots. And my hair if only wavy in the front and the back side less so. my wave stays only for a while after i wash it and slowly it turns into poofy. Since my hair isn't as curly as everyone else's i was afraid using some of the products would make my hair greasy and weighed down. But i also wanted to start the CG method so i was wondering if anyone of you could suggest a start up product or list of few things i should may be try. I was thinking of the KCKT and KCCC since evryone has been raving about it, but everyone';s is super curly so im a bit reluctant.
After ive researched the Cg im planning on 1. Clarifying shampoo 2. after that start a Low-poo (maybe Shea Moisture)3. and maybe cycle it with co-wash (sauve natural coconut or as i am co wash) 4. leave in (KCKT or As i am ) and 5. styling (KCCC and the gel)

These are my tentative plan. Please suggest any product that might help. Tell me if some might be heavy and also when you use gel does it harden the hair?? Thank you

I find SM products to be heavy. I think there is a learning curve to KCCC. Have liked As I Am Leave-in condish.

I posted about this on it's own thread, but in case you didn't go there, I've just tried MopTop products and they have made a huge difference in my frizz level. For the first time I'm not feeling product build up. On their web site you can order a sample bundle of products for $8. I ordered the More is More because you get more product, free shipping on samples. They are having a sale till the end of the Oct. 2016, 20% off with code ANNUAL20.

2a/2b, fine, porous, colored, dry, frizzy
