Best Drugstore low poo sheamoisure or giovanni
So need it to be a target or walmart, even a sallys.
I have read good things and bad about both.
All my info is in my sig.
I read yes to carrots and even burts has something like sils in it and I dont want that if possible.
Really think I need a low poo 1 or twice a week.
what do you think would be best for me or even if theres another but with in a good price. Dont want to spend a ton.

So what do you think would be best for me.?
Seems like by day 3 my hair is limp.
Clean
Day 2 and 3 I either co wash or water wash. Looks awful today. Limp and oily, but not my ends. They still look dry.
Going tomorrow after work to get.

Both are good products- it really depends on what you're looking for. Shea Moisture (especially the Moisture Retention) is among the most gentle low-poos I've ever tried. Giovanni low-poos are still pretty gentle (TTT was a little stronger that I prefer, but 50:50 worked well), but they use different surfacants and would probably be more useful for occasional product buildup issues (a definite possibility as you try new stuff and learn what ingredients do and don't work for your hair). The only one that you will want to probably avoid is Giovanni Smooth as Silk low-poo because it has amodimethicone.

I know some people like Giovanni as a lowpoo, but I found it too harsh. Most here seem to like Shea Moisture and consider it very gentle (I haven't tried it).

I haven't tried SM shampoos but I've tried the Giovanni TTTT and that one was a little stripping. I tried it specifically to help with my itchy and flaky scalp but didn't help.

I've never used Giovanni but I love Shea Moisture. It's very gentle and really moisturizing imo.

question about the SM with coconut. I really want to get some, but my hair HATED the suave coconut. not sure if my hair just hates the coconut or not.

SN Coconut has no actual coconut in it afaik, it's just scented that way. You should be fine with SM

So I finally found Shea Moisture, Moisture Retention at my target. It took me a while cuz I couldnt found, I seen all there body products and they have the burts bees shampoo etc next to it but they have the sm in the hair section. So I will have to give this a try on thur. (I washed my hair w/a sulfate vo5 moisture milk and tres together to dulute this morn) I was looking at all they had, so many items that I swear I have never seen in my life lol
they had a brand called Curl and then the kinky curl which I have never tired.

do you think the sm will weigh down fine hair with a weak 2a wave pattern?

I like both for different reasons. The SM Moisture Retention shampoo is reeeal gentle and leaves my hair feeling soft while my scalp feels fresh and clean. The Giovanni one, especially the 50:50 one, is a good clarifier. It does strip, but something about it isn't toooo stripping if that makes sense. I use it bi-monthly because I use heavy products on my hair (I have no idea my porosity at this point, I just know my hair seems to like it that way). So it depends what you want your low-poo/no-poo to do.

BUT, if I had to pick one, I'd pick the SheaMoisture one.
