my hair looks totally different in different rooms

Hi everyone, i am pretty new here and i try to embrace my naturally wavy hair. But here is my problem: when i look in the mirror in my bathroom my hair looks frizzy, with not much wave definition. When ik go downstairs and i look in the mirror my hair looks shiny and i can see the waves much clearer. this room is a bit darker. Now i want to know how my hair 'really' looks like. it's driving me crazy!

Does anyone have the same problem?

I do, exact same. Hair looks crazy and frizzy in bathroom and much shinier and defined in my room where it's a tad bit dimmer. But not much. And in the work bathroom where it's bright, it looks inbetween. :/

Yep, that happens to me too. And my hair can look different half an hour later in the SAME mirror! My hair just changes from minute to minute - I think that's why I have no luck with hard-hold products, it tries to change, can't and so looks weird.

If I find it looking good in one mirror I tell myself that's how it REALLY looks, and all other mirrors for that day are just bad mirrors...I struggle to keep believing that though!

Lol i do the same thing! It's hard to stay convinced. I'm so paranoid of my hair!

I put a daylight bulb in my bathroom just for this reason. I love how my hair looks outside in the bright sunshine, it's not exactly the same but pretty close. I think being in the daylight type light will give a better idea to what your hair really looks like to everyone, know what I mean?

Its just the lighting. My hair looks great in the mirror on one side of the bathroom, where the light only comes from above, and it looks so frizzy in the other mirror in the same room, because the light comes from the back. The back lighting really shows off the frizz.
This reminds me of a Seinfeld episode, where the booth in the diner has such bad lighting it makes the prettiest girl look ugly.
I used to read the Mineral Makeup boards. One gal was so convinced that her skin had a greenish cast, she kept ordering samples of mineral powder to match it. It became a huge drama between her and the woman who sold the powder. Finally, after months of crazy posting, she realized that the color was due to her bathroom lighting.

I have the same problem as well! My bathroom lighting is fantastic! It sort of makes me look like I have a tan. The lighting at school is total crap though and it makes my hair look sooooo frizzy. The worst lighting I have ever seen would have to be my grandparents guest bedroom. I swear it sees right through a few layers of skin to reveal bright red acne scars, but the worst part is that it makes my hair look slightly green. Before I realized that it was just the lighting I atempted to dye my hair with rosehips (not a good idea).
