Default Does going CG change your curl pattern?

Ok so I am a 2c wavy. I am thinking about going CG but I was wondering...will it make my hair curlier? If so...THAT WOULD BE GREAT!

Some people see very significant changes in curl pattern, but others don't. I suspect a lot of it has to do with how healthy your hair is to begin with. I had been using CG-friendly products for almost 2 years when I "technically" started CG (the biggest change for me was learning new techniques and how to navigate all of the hair products and info). I've been modified CG for almost a year and there isn't really a huge difference between my hair then and now. But there are people who really do have amazing transformations, so it's hard to predict one way or another.

It can over time I think, but CG is more about making your hair healthy and "listening" to it, knowing your properties and taking the best care you can of it. Some people do end up with better defined, maybe curlier hair. Since i've been CG though my hair has gotten softer, shinier and it just FEELS so much better. It's not really "curlier" but it's better defined so gives the appearance of being wavier. I looks a lot better that's for sure lol. Good luck!

For me there was a pretty big change, but I have fine curls that are very "reactive" and cones especially really pull them out. But the change was that before, my hair would be quite wavy/curly when wet, and then turn to less curly, more poofy frizz as it dried. With CG, my hair retains nice shine and definition, instead of being one big ball of frizz, and this looks curlier.

My pattern has changed quite a bit, but I went from knowing nothing about curls (I was still brushing and never even used conditioner, although I was diffusing). Technique and cowashing have made a big difference for me.

It does make some people curlier. I have naturally weak waves and pre CG I never styled my hair at all. I committed the cardinal sins of brushing dry hair and getting bad hair cuts!! I would always get my hair thinned.

Now my hair at least looks a little wavy. Not much different without product though.
