Default Best products for thick hair?

I have coarse, super thick hair. My curl/wave type is 2c. I've tried a LOT of products to get it to behave. What should I be using?

P.S. I get my hair thinned, but want to let it thicken up. Also, I am trying to grow my layers out.

If you can help, thanks!

It's not necessarily so much about what products but how you apply them.

I have a lot of thick, kinky hair. The circumference of my hair in a ponytail is about 4.5 inches! In order to get the most even distribution of product, I scrunch it into soaking wet hair immediately after my shower.

Others like to rake in products, but my waves are too weak for that. Plus, it breaks up my clumps.

low poo: Jessicurl Gentle Lather Shampoo

Rinse out: Curl Junkie Beauticurls Strengthening Conditioner, GVP conditioning balm, Tresemme Naturals Moisturizing

jellies: Curly Kinks Coil Jam, Uncle Funky Daughter's Curly Magic, Kinky Curly Curling Custard

gels: Aussie Instant Freeze, Curl Junkie Curl Queen, Biosilk Rock Hard Gelee, Herbal Essence Set Me Up

Some of these products have protein so if you truly have coarse (and not kinky) hair you need to go easy on the protein. I also use a mix of drugstore and online products. I can buy most of my favorite online products at aveyou.com. If you search for a coupon, you can usually find one for 10-15% off.

I would use the shea moisture deep treatment masque u can use it as a deep conditioning treatment or leave in, my hair is somewhat thick but its fine at the same time (if that makes any sense lol) but this product really hydrates my hair the only thing is its too heavy FOR ME and I feel it weighs my hair down my friend has more thick and coarse hair than I do and it really works well for her, based off of how u described your hair being thick and coarse u should definitely try it out if u havent, got mines at target heard they sale it at walgreens too

I was going to but I saw a YouTube review that said the 'poo had a possible hidden sulfate and the other products had silicones. If that's something that concerns you, it would be a good idea to research the ingredients extensively.

Default About the Paul Mitchell

Um i'm really not super concerned about the cones and sulfates. As long as you moisturize plenty, I think sulfates are fine.

Im kind of the same when it comes to the sulfates and cones but i try to keep it limited if I were you try trader joes botanicals shampoo and conditioner it works really well the conditioner is really creamy and theyre $3 each try vo5 its only like $.70-$1.00 its cheaper smells good and doesnt have silicones and sulfates and its a good consistency its a LITTLE bit runnier than trader joes and as far as product if u have thick hair try creams heavy creams work good on thick hair I think Ive already told u about shea moisture I would try a cream and then scrunch with gel have u ever tried: elasta qp(gel), shea moisture products(creams and gel), cantu shea butter(cream), mixed silk elements(leave-in conditioner), eco styler gel... You should be able to get all these things from sallys and or target
