How do wavy ladies curl their hair?

This question goes out to all 2a wavies out there. I absolutely love the curls 3a ladies have and the braid outs and twist outs that women with type 4 hair sport . I was wondering if anybody with type 2 hair do anything to get well defined curls?

If so, how did you do it? What products did u use? How long did you keep the braid out or twist out?
Braid outs work well for me, but I love the effect that twist outs had on my hair . unfortunately, I rocked a bantu-knot out only once, by accident, and when I tried to do it later,i couldn't remember exactly what I did the last time and it came out as a huge frizzy tangled mess :-|

I would appreciate any advice ladies. :)

I use plain old curlers. Curlformers work pretty well, but you have to make sure you have enough of them.

It's just getting long enough for french braiding. My hair is very fine, and everything else would probably horribly tangle it.

Thanks for your reply. :)
I think I'm gonna stick to braiding until I find a styling product that works for me.
