Cold Weather Hair Issues
I seem to get the best results on my 2a hair when I let it air dry. Now that the weather has turned cold and my hair takes 3+ hours to air dry, that method just isn't working.
I have tried a diffuser and I still get a very frizzy canopy and lose lots of wave.
I am 2a with med./fine texture, normal porosity and elasticity.

You should definitely try the technique I posted about in the threat below. I found that direct contact with the diffuser just makes a mess of my hair. Also you might need to use more conditioner or styling product, or a styling product with a stronger hold.

I almost always diffuse... Once fall hit, my hair started frizzing like crazy. Someone here suggested sealing with an oil before applying product. It's worked wonders. I am not sealing with straight oil. Instead I found an olive oil based leave in conditioner with no glycerin. I pixie diffuse for about 20 minutes until it's at least 80% dry...

I use a curl sealer and herbal essence mousse. I don't like this mousse so much anymore because its drying crunchy, but it keeps my curls together and I usually scrunch out the crunch after I get to work. I teach and have my off period first, do I can run and hide in my room and not let the world see my crunchiness. If I scrunch the crunch too early though, my hair falls apart and looks like a frizzy mess. The heater on the car is killing me, too. I have to blow air everywhere but near me to keep my hair calm.

I do NOT have time to dry my hair in this cold, windy weather. It blows my curls all to hell (am I allowed to use that word?)
I gave up. I'm doing roller sets which look meh, but at least when my hair is blown to bits I can comb it back into something resembling hair as opposed to brillo, and it lasts - sort of - for 3 days.
I am missing those murderously high dewpoint days - that's how bad this is!

The best thing for me when winter is setting in, is sealing my wet hair with (no more then) a nail tip of pure coconut oil before I do my usual hairstyling and I can even use my favorite gel WITH glycerine in dewpoints min 6F!
