2nd day hair
Hey Curlies,
I have been mod CG for a week and got my first ever Deva cut (which was so awesome). I am looking to find out the routines and products you use for great second and, dare I say, 3rd day curls!
I have tried putting my hair in a silk wrap because it is too short to pineapple. Then I shake it out in the am and apply water. It is supposed to deactivate the DevaCurl gel I used the previous day. I am still finding fizziness around my hairline and I have lost some curl definition. The pic is today's 2nd day hair. Notice the frizz and not so good clumping in front.
Please help!

in my opinion, that's pretty damn good for second day hair. many people with wavy hair just can't swing second day. i personally can get away with scrunching in a lot of water and more product the next day, but it's still a lot of work. sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear. i guess what i'm saying is your second day hair looks good!

I agree with elizard....Im not sure if anybody can get frizz free 2nd day hair...I cant even with same day hair...I ALWAYS have frizz...but I make it work...by clipping some of my hair up...or same as elizard...by adding water and more gel the 2nd day hair...I also agree that your hair looks great...and I think you are being too hard on yourself...why as curlies ....we always make excuses for our hair...didnt have enough time...or I over slept...or its my 2nd or even 3rd day hair...I used new products...blah blah blah...sometimes I get more compliments on my 2nd day hair...whatever you are doing or using...its working good for your hair!!!

Thanks elizard and Shelly. I do need to be more confident about my hair. No more excuses!
Like you said Shelly, I need to experiment more with hair accessories and taming the frizz with cute hair stuff.
Any tips on styles? I never put my hair in a style. It is either down or in a pony

I take bobby pins and pin up the front section (the area that has come unclumped) to the back/side of my head...like above the top of ear...towards the back of your head...(not sure if that made sense ) or I take the mini claw clip...the teenytiny one and clip up my front section into a bump..and run some gel over the exposed sides of my hair to tame frizz...Thats what I do...Hope this helps

I like to use DevaCurl set it free for 2nd day hair. It works wonders for my 2c/3a hair, but a little goes a long way (same with water). Too much weighs down my hair.
