I'm on the same boat as you...especially being a North Carolinian with this weather, haha. Scrubs slough off the dead skin before it can flake off, so while they're helpful, they act as more of a treatment rather than preventative. If I moisturize my scalp, it usually helps it from flaking in the first place. To do that, I usually rub in some light leave-in.
