Sealing is the only thing I've found to help, and sealing with MO is the only thing I've found that maintains the moisture all day, sometimes into 2nd day, even. (It also holds out high humidity well, which is just as important for me and my high porosity!)[/QUOTE]
Yes, I havent tried sealing since I started with the new conditioner. I ran out of grapeseed oil in the shower and kept forgetting to get more (I keep it in a medicine syringe for babies and squirt it out as needed). I need to try the mineral oil, since it seems to be so good for you. I just need to use up the GSO first.

My hair varies by the day too and as I was looking for pics for this thread, I realized how completely damaged it was when I started, how much my 7" chop helped, and how I'm not sure I want to grow it out anymore I miss the length but it's so much better of a "style" short and curls a lot better. I had actually gotten quite discouraged lately thinking I really hadn't made any progress over the last 18 (yes, eighteen) months, so thanks - this thread became a self help adventure lol. It can be temperamental. I definitely understand the frustration of not having a definite "curl pattern" that jumps out and screams at you. That's the woes of having a looser pattern - it is unpredictable. I know I started out with barely a fried wave and now I have a head full of... whatever... 2c/3a ish I suppose.

thank you very much...as you can see from my pre CG pic...I never thought my hair would look like this...So I'm grateful for the way my hair has turned out..But it took a few months for my hair to behave.....so don't give up...knowing your hair properties is the number one thing for selecting products....
