I was thinking about getting a few new hair items, but even after reviewing them I just want to see if anyone used them and what they think...

Curl junkie coffee cocoa cream lite...now is this a leave in? Or is it a curl enhancer? I was thinking it was a leave in which is what I'm looking for. Just something light for my fine waves. Or would kinky curly knot today be a better choice? (Which I'm afraid might weigh my hair down)

AG beach bomb-i have recoil but it really has never done anything for my hair. My hair is probably to fine and easily weighed down by recoil, so I thought beach bomb might be a nice option.

My hair loves protein, plopping, and diffusing! Trying to find a way to style and air dry.
Hi AKgirl, for me CCCC Lite is multipurpose product.
I use it to seal my hair in winter when my hair is wet, before putting in other styling products. When I do this it also works as a LI+ Curl enhancer the same time.
In summer it's a curl enhancing cream.
I use a tiny bit mixed with AVG to SOTC.
When my hair feels dry 2nd/3rd Day I mist my hair with H2O+CO and scrunch some CCCC Lite in to re-clump and defrizz and diffuse 90%. That works really great to get the bounce back in my curls.

With CCCC Lite I always get natural looking curls, no wet look or anything, that are light and fluffy, but not frizzy, if you know what I mean. I use very small amounts on my low porosity hair, never more than the size of a thumb nail.
What can I say, I'm a fan

I bought the CCCC lite for a curl enhancer and it didn't do a great job with that, but moisturized nicely. I think you will like it better than the KCKT for a leave-in.
Coarse texture, normal-high porosity, normal elasticity (Komaza Care), very weak waves
cleanser: Redken Fresh Curls Shampoo, CJ Daily Fix

rinse out: GVP Conditioning Balm, CJ Repair Me, CJ Smoothing

jellies/creams: CR Curl Maker, KCCC, UFD Curly Magic
gels: CJ CQ, BRHG

Thanks for the info ladies. I'm hesitant to buy it. I just bought yes to carrots conditioner so maybe I won't even need a leave in with this. I do have yes to cucumber leave in but if I remember it was a bit heavy. I'm always on the lookout for more volume but at the same time need to maintain my moisture which is hard with my long, baby fine and porous hair.

I do add olive oil to my ends at night which my hair absorbs nicely and scrunch out my hair with Jane Carter shine butter. So my hair does okay with certain oils/butters used the right way.

Is there a leave in available at a store you might suggest? I mean if it did hold a little+ add moisture without weighing it down I'd totally buy it. I just hate to spend so much without knowing lol.

I have the same problem. I use Giovanni direct leave in which is pretty light and after that i use la looks perfect polish. If i put a lot of gel the hair will hold up beautifully but it gets hard and it gets stuck everywhere i.e. my coat zipper etc. if i put a quater sized amount it weights down quick but it's still curly/wavy. Maybe i need to invest in a better hair gel. Idk.

I loved CJCCCL in the winter but not in the summer. It gave me defined waves without the crunch.

As for beach bomb I haven't been able to make it work yet. It is a cream so it seems to make my hair too soft which straightens my waves :/.

Hope that helps!
The best way to choose ingredients/products is by hair properties. Here's a link to help you with yours Live Curly Live Free - Home Once you determine your properties, look for others with similar hair and see what they use (in signatures.) It's the best place to start.

I don't use products with polyquats--4, 7 and 10 give me issues. So don't use CCCC-lite.

My hair is fine and just didn't like Re Coil. There are tons of other great products out there. Half the fun is finding them! I use minute amounts of really rich products. I counterbalance the moisture with lots of protein. It's really helped develop my curl pattern. I used to be wavy in the winter, 3a in the summer. Now, my hair looks like my signature picture all year around.

I loved the live curly live free website. It helped me understand my hair more and also my sons. They got kinky curly hair but they're completely different in porosity. I was having trouble with my little one because his hair is much finer and it gets tangled a lot. I also discovered that what i thought were broken hairs on my crown are actually course hairs and my head is mixed. This was awesome. Thank you so much.
