Is there a conditioner that is a Humectant?

My hair Porosity is low so I'm supposed to stick to protein free conditioners with Humectants to avoid build-up but every conditioner has the anti-humectant symbol on it. I used the search fields for humectants and only found one; a Sauve Humectant conditioner but it has Dimethiconol and Keratin in it. Are all conditioners naturally anti-humectant? What should I use? Help Please!

Porosity - Low
Density- High
Width- medium
The nc.com info on texture and porosity is the only place that I've ever seen that low porosity hair doesn't care for protein. Which is why I never give that link for people to use. My hair is fine/low porosity. It never met a protein it didn't like.

If you haven't had poor experiences with protein, I wouldn't stay away from it with medium hair. Your hair should tolerate it.
Hootenanny likes this.

Try adding put glycerin to any of ur fave conditioners. Be careful though, glycerin is a powerful humectant, and depending on where u live (dry conditions=no glycerin for some, wet conditions=glycerin parties for others), u may find new issues

Most conditioners I've run across have glycerin, which is a humectant. I agree with Kathymack.... Unless you've had problems with proteins, I say go for it. I've got med-fine hair and my hair does very well with DevaCare One Condition.
Hair Properties: 2A/2B, Medium-fine, Normal porosity, Normal elasticity, Medium density
Low Poo: DevaCare, Yes to Cuc's
Rinse Out: DevaCare One Condition, Yes to Cuc's
Cowash: Suave Naturals Lavender, Yes to Carrots Scalp Conditioner
Curl Cream: AG ReCoil, Organix Moroccan Oil Curl Cream
Gel/Mousse: Sweet Curls Elixirs FSG w/ Mag Sulfate added, Sweet Curls Elixirs hard hold gel, DevaCurl Frizz Free Foam, Aquage Uplifting Foam
Protein: Spiral Solutions Protein Spray for daily use
And my hair analysis told me to stay away from protein.

Thank you all so much, I've been learning as much as I can the last few days.

It was very confusing that nc.com said to use a Humectant conditioner and then when I searched the conditoners they all said anit-humectant! I am realizing that by looking at the ingredients in a lot of them that they have humectants in them even though they dont have the humectant symbol, in fact most all have the anti-humectant symbol which added to my confusion. I wish they would add the humectant symbol to the conditoners that have humectants in them.

Thanks for the info on the proteins, I'm going to try with and without and see what the difference in my hair is, it's good to know that it may not be a big deal and I wouldnt have to avoid so many products.
Does anyone know the difference in the Moisture symbol which I see a lot and the Humectant symbol which is rare? It seems like they would both indicate the same thing doesnt it?
