Moroccan Oil Curl Mousse
Wow! I used this today and am soo happy with it! Very light and airy, but definitely enhances my wave! Super light crunch and scrunched out easily. Is really soft now and still moisturized, not tangly like it seems to get with other mousses! Anyone else use this??

I love it! I've used it for months now and every time I try a different brand I come back to this. It gives me volume without any crunch or stickiness. I am almost out so will be picking up another bottle tomorrow when i get my color done. Its expensive but it's my fav so far. The volumizing shampoo is very good too, but gives me some slight tangling ( but a little KCKT fixes that).

Yeah, I think this may be a holy grail for me! : ) I actually got spirals today! Do you ever use it on dry hair or for 2nd day hair??

I'm scared to put product in dry hair! I avoid putting product in on day 2 or 3 if I can. If things get flat, I can kind of refresh waves by spraying a little bit of Botanical Boost and piling my hair up under a plastic shower cap for 20 min or so. Not much else has worked. The Rev up volume mist was horrible for me on dry hair (but worked great on soaking wet hair this morning). It just seems to me that putting mousse or gel on dry hair will just mat it up so I can't bring myself to try it. I notice others do it though. If you try it , let us know what you think.

I hate the matted, sticky hair feeling too! That's what I'm getting from the curly sexy mousse on dry and wet hair now. I don't know what the deal is! I used to love it, but perhaps the product feeling didn't bother me as much as it does now? I'll try it and let you know! The loreal out of bed putty is okay for second day, but I tend to frizz badly from it when it's not on pretty wet hair vs. barely spritzed hair. I've had good luck with the Shea moisture curl and style milk for second day hair, but it doesn't provide much hold. I may try just a little of the Moroccan mousse over top just to see tomorrow! I'll let you know! I'm getting a trim, so they'll wash and style my hair again there, so I may not use the mousse if my hair already seems tangly.
Btw, I think I saw the Moroccan mousse in your sig and decided to look it up! So glad I did! : )

Thanks! We seem to be on the hunt for the same products. I love reading the sigs and found several good products now (KCKT and AG:recoil) based on sigs. They are very useful.
As for the poor results from your other mousse, I am curious to know if its got a lot of some kind of polyquat in it? That pops up as an issue for some posters (kathymack?) who have commented on how some forms really build up. I started checking ingredients and they are in everything. I haven't noticed an issue yet but I am not one to use much product to start with.

I bought it at a salon that carried the Moroccan oil brand products. If you look on their website it'll show salons close to you with those products.

Re: where to find. It's mostly sold in salons, I think. I've also seen it on amazon but I saw a thread a while ago where people were complaining it was a knock off of some sort. I don't know if that's true or not but my salon carries it so I buy it there.
As for the curl creme, I've not tried it because the reviews for it make it sound like something that won't work for me. Also, many of the Moroccan Oil products have lots of 'cones. I know the oil for sure is mostly silicone and I kind of think the curl creme might too. I know the styling creme (not the same as the curling creme) has 'cones, which is unfortunate because my stylist sold me a huge bottle right before I went CG. I liked it, used sparingly. No 'cones in the volume shampoo or mousse and I really like both of those. That's my 2 cents - hope it helps!
PS - AKgirl, how did the new 'do turn out? I had my color touched up today and it's way more red. Not sure about this at all.

It went well, she actually was deva trained so I was a little surprised she was using "curly styling" on me. I'd honestly rather her have straightened my hair, because my wave is so weak that without using the right technique it looks horrible. So yes, I left and my hair looked hideous. Lol. She was surprised how curly my hair was when I got in, but that it didn't curl well with her technique and products. She used deva products, which do nothing to enhance my wave apparently haha. I told her I just know how to work with my hair. : ) so yeah, I take the worst natural hair award by far! I'd post a pic but even my good friend said it looked terrible, lol. But aside from that, my ends are trimmed up and she said my hair was really healthy!

I have the Curl Control Cream and love it (it's one of the few silicone products I still use). My hair is fine in texture, with normal porosity and elasticity. You have to remember that hair properties, nut actual curl pattern are really what make the biggest difference in what products work or don't work.
ETA: I've been on the fence about trying the MorrocanOil Mousse- with the exception of TIGI Curlesque Strong Mousse, I haven't had good results with mousse, but my excellent results with the curl cream had me curious. After reading this thread I think I'll have to take the plunge.
