Been away for a while

I wore my hair curly for quite a while and then started straightening it again. I can't seem to make up my mind! But with warm weather coming back tomorrow (should be tomorrow) and the fact that I'm now expecting my first sweet little baby , I don't have time for long straight hair anymore. So long curly hair it will be.

Mostly this thread will be about my adventures in taming my hair back to a wearable curly state.

Some things have changed since I was last curly 1) I no longer highlight my hair but I do color it brown and 2) pregnancy hormones. Wow do those hormones ever do weird things.

Tonight I started getting my hair into shape. It will listen to me! I made an interesting mixture of coconut oil, honey, and Suave coconut conditioner. I glopped a bunch on my head and put a hot towel on it. Hopefully that does something.

I'm going to leave this on for 30-45 minutes and then do a clarifying wash and an apple cider vinegar rinse. Then I'll start my routine. I read some pretty good reviews of using Tresemme Naturals for a leave in so I picked some of that up.

I have no idea how long it will take me to get The Mop back under control. Usually my hair is its own being up there and we just happen to cohabitate in the same vicinity. My hair is my arch nemesis. Always has been. Always will be. Ha!
My hair is insane, porous, fine, thick/dense, 2C/3A depending on the humidity that day.
shampoo: L'Oreal Sulfate free stuff sometimes
co-wash: Suave Naturals coconut
condish: GVP conditioning balm
leave in: Will try Tresemme Naturals volume (as if I need volume)
products:
honey, FOTE AVG=my HG, Noodle Head mousse, HETT

Welcome back! Good luck with your hair and your baby!
2C/ Coarse/ Normal porosity/ SW Florida/ Salt & Pepper
Cleanse: CJ Daily Fix, JC Cleansing Cream, TJ Tea Tree Condish
Condish: JC Too Shea, CJ Curl Rehab (both as RO & LI)
Stylers: UFD CM, CJ PP, JC Spiralicious, Darcy's Cream Gel & Cocoa bean whip
My hair has been doing better than expected. I'm starting to get some spirals back, even in the back of my head where it's normally just wavy.

As it turns out, my hair seems to like the Tresemme as a leave in. It doesn't take much and it makes my hair really slick. The weather here remains really cold with very little humidity so we'll see how things progress as the weather warms up and the evil humidity invades! lol

Hi! I'm new to the forums so don't remember you, except that I read another thread recently in which you posted. Your use of natural ingredients intrigues me, as I love that kind of thing. Isn't it sticky and messy to put honey in your hair, though? I've done it on my face, so I guess I could do it on my hair! I have also never tried the apple cider vinegar rinse but I guess I will sometime, since I hear such rave reviews. Do you do a baking soda scrub first?

Can you spell out what your favorite products are in your siggie? I know GVP, but not BRHG, HETT, and FOTE AVG.

Finally, what do you think about the smell of Tresemme Naturals? I have it and feel it smells hospital-ish or something. I don't care for the scent, which makes me hesitant to use it as a leave in, but I have, once or twice (or at least a partial rinse-out). In sniffing my hair right now, I can't really detect it (from yesterday) so I guess it's okay.
Started embracing the 2b waves in March 2013. I can't believe how immediate the difference, when I stopped using sulfates! Now I need guidance on most everything else.
My best guess so far at my hair profile: 2b, medium porosity, fine and med width strands, low-to-med density, medium length.
