That's a great video, I love how she explained everything so clearly, thats very similar to the technique I use when I cut my fiancee's hair and I find it works very well. (i am certainly no professional btw just cheap and sick of paying for bad haircuts lol) and this video gave me a lot of tips.I would love to try that technique on my own hair, but unfortunately I can't temporarily clone myself and I haven't had a really good haircut by a professional since my hair became wavy in my teens, I always end up with a strait bob no matter what I tell them or what picture I bring, just at slightly different lengths.
I personally think that this technique could fix that choppy feeling you're talking about and it's definitely worth a try.
My only concern would be that I wouldn't try telling a stylist a particular technique unless I had been going to them for a long time or at least had a relationship with that person. Otherwise I think a full video has the potential to come across as telling them how to do their job. Just my 2 cents there.
