I've never used the shampoo but i used the conditioner to cowash and to detangle and they did a pretty good job with both. Very moisturizing.

I regularly use the conditioner as a cowash, works great. It even has a little bit of protein in it (my hair loves protein!). I've also used it for a rinse out and a leave in. As a rinse out, it provides enough slip for me to detangle my hair in the shower. Love the conditioner.
The shampoo has sulfates and therefore isn't technically CG. I've used other Suave Natural shampoos (not this one in particular), but they can be a bit on the harsh side. I'd guess the coconut would be similar.
