Ladies....

where the heck can I get some BRHG? Seriously, I've checked CVS, Walgreens, Target, Sally's, Publix, Marshall's, Ross.... I've found plenty other Biosilk products but no BRHG.

Can the la looks sport gel be used on dry hair?
My hair gets weighed down so easily by gels. My waves/curls seem pretty fragile and gel makes my hair less curly. I don't have fine hair so I don't know what the problem is. When I use mousse, I get stringy curls. Recently I purchased The Extra Body gel from Paul Mitchell and my hair seems to do pretty well with it, better than I have experienced with other gels.
Absolutely love the la looks sport gel. Works great on dry hair.

How do you guys put gel on dry hair?? It just pulls my hair all to pieces if i do that.
Hi chupie It's very easy to put gel into dry hair all u need to do & with whatever gel is just pour about a quarter amount or any amount depends how long or thick your hair is. And pretty much rub it into both hands and just like lather it from close to your roots to the bottom of your hair. But don't comb it thru and you can scrunch it in if you want but I don't really. I hoped this helped
Ok you can get it to lather? Any time I've tried gel in dry hair it's too sticky.

It has a really strong hold so at first I found I was using too much of it. I don't need to use much of it at all. It will get crunchy if you use too much but it can be scrunched out and it doesn't flake in my hair. It contains silicones but they are of the PEG type so I don't have a problem with them. I don't use products with regular silicones.
I use LA Looks Nutra curl. It's pretty crunchy while it's drying, but it gets fairly soft after SOTC. What it does for my curls is amazing. From brown brillo pad to straight-up 2C spirals.

I don't have anything to compare it to, though--I'm new at CG and hadn't used gel for about 20 years before last month.
Jessica
Type 2c: coarse, high-density, low porosity (so it would seem)
Avoiding protein and glycerin; going for soft, non-crunchy, frizz-free waves
CO & RO: Tresemme Naturals Moisture
Sealer: Olive oil
Leave-in/Styler: Kinky Curly Knot Today
DT: olive oil and honey
I have 2c hair and have tried Giovanni gel and Bella curls gel and they all seem to still make my hair frizzy. So I was wondering what type of gel product do you use?

I use La Bella Lots of Curls. By itself, it usually makes my hair pretty frizzy, so I usually use a LI conditioner on my hair first, then apply a little FOTE AVG and then a little of the La Bella. It seems like the perfect combination. It doesn't make my hair super frizzy, but at the same time, the combination of gels doesn't make my hair crunchy either. Maybe you should try this! It's all about experimenting with you hair!
Mod-CG since 11/24/13!
Shoulder length, fine, low porosity, medium density, 2b&c/3a.
Likes: Protein, Icequeen method, and occasional clarifying/

Dislikes: Too much product, glyercin/oils, heat!
Favorites: GTTTT, EMBC, KCCC, BRHG, HETTM, KCKT!
Experimenting with: CHS CK and cowashing!
