Default What gel do you use?

I have 2c hair and have tried Giovanni gel and Bella curls gel and they all seem to still make my hair frizzy. So I was wondering what type of gel product do you use?

I use Biosilk Rock Hard Gelee and it seems to help control my frizz.

Properties?

Are you living in high dews? High dews + glycerin gives me frizz so I generally have to avoid it in styling products.

Most often an Umberto Giannini jelly which contains propylene glycol (a humectant) as well as holding agents. TBH tho gel alone is not what controls frizz, it is considering your hair properties, dew point, choosing the right conditioner and amount of conditioner. I had completely different results from the UG when using a conditioner containing some oil compared with oil free/ protein rich, presumably because the oil acts as a sealant, the proteins as another humectant so no balance.

I have 2a baby fine hair and I am really loving BRHG. Never did before, but it preserves my curls and I can get multiple days out of it. I also like redken soft spin gel and volumax.

I love BRHG. I have coarse hair. It holds my hair while it's drying and then disappears after I SOTC.

After the gel discussion in another thread I went back and scrutinized the ingredients. 4-6 are propylene glycol (humectant), hydrolyzed silk (protein), and panthenol (good for damaged hair). Assuming I'm correct in my understanding of what those 3 do, it explains why there is such a varied experience with this gel. Also, I've noticed that I get different amounts of crunch on different sections of my hair. I wonder if the more damaged parts are sucking everything up. Also interesting to me is that the lower porosity folks seem to be more likely to experience reactivation of the gel on the second day, where I don't at all.

I use both the ampro olive oil gel & the Softee olive oil conditioning gel. The reason I use both is that my hair has 2 different personalities. (as I call them) the front is EXTREMELY dry but coming along. The back is over conditioned. I use the ampro for the front. Softee for the back. I scrunch less than a dime size amount of the ampro gel. Both gels work well together & give great hold.

Ladies....

where the heck can I get some BRHG? Seriously, I've checked CVS, Walgreens, Target, Sally's, Publix, Marshall's, Ross.... I've found plenty other Biosilk products but no BRHG.
