If you could use only one styler (i.e. product that provides hold) what would it be?

I'm new to CG, and am not satisfied with what I'm using right now. Because I have MBL 2A hair that's fine to medium, I think I need something that will give a strong hold without adding a ton of extra weight. Interested to hear what everyone else loves...
Low-Poo: Giovanni TTTT
Rinse Out: Yes To Coconuts Conditioner
I'm in the same boat, I'm curious too. I'm not 100% fond of gels, but sometimes I could use the hold. The one I tried was awful.
Flax seed gel for moisture, clumping, and frizz reduction. BRHG for hold.

2a no product/2b-c styled
Low Porosity, Fine
No poo-SM
Co wash-VO5 kiwi lime*
Rinse out- ION EC
Leave in - Giovanni Direct then SM smoothie (ends only)
Stylers-SM souffle topped with BRHG*

Hair hates: glycerin (high dews here in TX)
Hair likes: Coconut Oil*, protein

I agree with the FSG, however not just plain in my case, I enhance mine with sea salt, glycerin, panthenol etc. Mind you not so much for hold but more so for definition, shine and general hair health. For hold, I use joigel firm hold or dippity-do, or Sally's BTZ Spike gel (I'm Canadian)
A lot of people rate okra gel or flaxseed gel, with xanthan gum for extra hold if needed.
2a-2c, medium texture, porous/ colour treated. Three years CG. Past bra strap length heading for waist.

CO-wash: Inecto coconut/ Elvive Volume Collagen
Treatments: Komaza Care Matani, coconut/ sweet almond/ fractionated coconut oils, Hairveda Sitrinillah
Leave in: Fructis Sleek & Shine (old), Gliss Ultimate Volume, various Elvive
Styler: Umberto Giannini jelly, Au Naturale styling gelee
Flour sack towel, pixie diffuse or air dry.
Experimenting with: benign neglect
Gel alone is unlikely to give you the definition you need. But my favorite waking and hard hold gel is BRHG. You need at least a leave/definer or something underneath. I know a fine 2a whose been using SMC&H styling milk under it am getting lovely waves and definition.
2a medium porous, You can see my wavy tutorials here: and my wavy blog is The Wavy Nation
I love mixing BRHG with another gel like CJ Pattern Pusha or CJ Curl Queen.

Sent from my DROID4 using CurlTalk App
Coarse texture, normal-high porosity, normal elasticity (Komaza Care), very weak waves
cleanser: Redken Fresh Curls Shampoo, CJ Daily Fix

rinse out: GVP Conditioning Balm, CJ Beauticurls, CJ Smoothing

jellies/creams: CR Curl Maker, KCCC
gels: CJ CQ, CJ Pattern Pusha, BRHG

CJPP sealed with BRHG = awesome for me. Sometimes I put a little more CJPP over it. Softens the BRHG but does not compromise hold.

Ok, I've found something I absolutely LOVE and doesn't feel product-y after SOTC. Herbal Essences Set Me Up gel. I guess there was a formula for it that wasn't CG, but the one I picked up is!
@Kauaimarecurls if you like kccc, try cantu curling custard. To me, they're both good. The cantu curling custard smells GREAT!!!!
