I've been watching utube for some tips and I ran across a few videos that suggested twirling your hair before you scrunch it after uve washed it. I was a little skeptical since my hair is a bit hard to style sometimes, but it actually gave me some definition! You dont even have to twirl like every bit of your hair just like the pieces that naturally clumped together already, then scrunch like you normally do! Hope ya'll get nice results too!

Yeah, this is a method quite a few folks on here use called 'finger curling'. It's good for helping to reclump parts that look a little frizzy / just don't like right

because I have such weird lazy hair it just untwists. Boo. I'd give a lot to be able to finger coil or twist. But then, I'd probably have better wave if I could do that.
Yeah my hair kinda does the same thing. What I do is right out of the shower put I some leave in like normal then smooth the hairs so they'll clump and twirl the clumped pieces then scrunched pieces. I find that if I twirl my hair while is still soaked, its easier to do. The pieces dont stay completly twirled after I scrunch but it still seems to help. Idk if uve tried that already, but I hope this helps.
Have not. I'll try.

Something I have tried is when I'm diffusing, I try wrapping a curl around the pokey part of the diffuser.
