It sounds like the low poo routine is working well for your hair. My hair is also fine, but very thick. I get weighed down and overconditioned easily so some days I just wash with water only, scrubbing my scalp very well and then flip over and scrub the scalp again on the underneath. Then I use a rinse-out conditioner and rinse it out thoroughly. On the days I do co-wash, I do the same thing. I try to use a very light conditioner and use no more than I have to. I always have to flip over and scrub the underneath as well. I do still use poo once in awhile, but I'm trying to space it out as far as I can and make sure that the products I'm using are CG friendly so I don't get as much buildup.
When I started lurking around this website last year, I was probably only a 2a, but since my hair has gotten longer and I've been treating it better, I'm more of a 3a now. It's gotten a LOT curlier.
Good luck!
