2b-c mousse recommendations

Yesterday I tried from John Frieda frizz ease mousse and I liked it much better than the various combos of creams and gels I've tried. There wasn't as much definition perhaps, but my hair was so soft and shiny I don't care as much.

Because I was so happy with the way this mousse worked, I want to try some others to see if I can't find the sweet spot of soft, shine, and definition.

Does anyone have any recommendations?
I like the Sweet Curls Elixirs Volume Foam (I have her add PVP to mine--in theory that helps not only with hold but definition). It also makes my hair soft and natural looking. But it's very different from John Frieda. I've seen lots of wavies swear by it.

Baby fine hair, medium porosity
Shampoos: SM Fruit Fusion, KCCC, Avalon lemon (to clarify)
Stylers: Homemade Irish Moss Jelly, SCE Volume Foam, Andalou Hairspray
Treatments: Fermented Rice Water, Catnip Tea, Amla tea, Irish Moss
PT: IA Girl's PT and SS PT
Ouidad's Playcurl mousse is very good albeit expensive,
so Is Oscar Blandi foam. Also expensive.
On the cheaper side I've liked Pantene curl mousse,
HE Totally Twisted and John Frieda Re-charging mousse.
I agree the John Frieda is good-the re-charging mousse in conjunction with the JF Dream Curls spray gives me some tighter waves. Not sure if the products are CG, though, but since I use sulfates once a week I don't worry as much about that.
I'm looking for more curl, body, volume, and shine-a miracle really.
Poos" Nioxin, Devacurl, Jessicurl
Leave in: Ouidad Moisture Lock/B'leavein
Rinse out: VO5 Kiwi Lime, Mane and Tail,Too Shea
Mousse: Oscar Blandi Hair Life, Ouidad Playcurl
Gel: Devacurl Light defining gel

Aussie Aussome Volume has been pretty decent for me, but I don't use it anymore since I get tons of definition from just leave-in or Deva Styling Cream
Multicultural (Caucasian/Filipina)
mostly 2c - f - iii - low porosity - normal elasticity
LP/RO: Matrix Biolage Cleansing Conditioner for Curly Hair
I rotate through the rest of my products depending on weather and etc.
I try not to use products tested on animals if I can help it.

Oh yes, Oscar Blandi was great in my hair. Tons of volume. But I only tried it once, as it made my scalp itch furiously (all the chemicals).

This is what I don't understand. My hair is naturally poufy. A former co-worker affectionately called me "Fluff Ball." (My hair has a tendency to fluff and not curl.) So I have been looking for mousse that says "curl enhancing" and not "volume enhancing" but perhaps I am barking up the wrong tree altogether?

I actually just did an unintentional experimentů put almost none of my homemade gel under my mousse, and my hair frizzed like crazy, because I think the mousse just doesn't give the same definition. But with more gel under the definition is good. Someone on here who has very defined curls uses TIGI Catwalk Curlesque Strong Mousse, and sometimes Curls Rock Amplifier underneath (the amplifier has a 'cone I believe but if I remember correctly people didn't think it built up). I've never used those myself but remember the good reviews.

I like Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curl Boosting Mousse. I first put in a little bit of Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum throughout my hair and then scrunch in some mousse.

But, I tend to like gels more than mousses to get better curl definition. I first distribute some Garnier Fructis Smoothing Milk throughout my hair, then distribute some Garnier Fructis Curl Scrunch Gel. I scrunch it a little (depends how curly I want it) as I'm drying it with a blow dryer, or I let it air dry.

I remember one mousse that I just loved but I believe has been discontinued was Tressa's transfoaming mouss/gel. Can't find it anywhere. My salon used to carry Tressa products but no more.
It was a combo mousse/gel that truly gave me body and some hold.
In my case I need the hold/curl defination of a gel but the volume of a mousse.
