Default Help with Jessicurl Routine

I'm actually a cross between 2c and 3a so I will post this on both boards. I just bought Jessicuel RR and CCSS and I need a good routine because so far, my hair is not looking so hot with these products. Right now this is my routine.
1. Wash with No Poo (about 2X per week)
2. Condition with One Condish (Leave a little in)
3. Flip head over and scrunch in 2 puddles of RR (no raking through)
4. Still flipped, scrunch with tshirt
5. Scruch in more RR and a quater size of CCSS
6. Plop for about 30 minutes and diffuse.

Someone please help!

Howdy! I'm a 2c/3a too I think. What problems are you having exactly? Frizz, no definition...? Let us know and we can help more!

BTW I got good results the other day with RR & CCSS by putting a generous sized puddle of RR in a cup, filling with water and pouring over my head before doing anything else. Then went on to do scrunching with a few more puddles, and then a blob of CCSS! I got OK definition that way if that is what you are looking for more of.

I guess my main problem is lack of definition and shine. I was also hoping Jessicurl would enhance some of my stubborn curls. How much RR did you dilute in the cup? I am willing to try anything. I had been using Devacurl products but got a little discouraged when Set It Free left my hair gunky. I still like Angel but I def. want less frizz and more defintion. Any advice would be great! Thanks!

Hmm... well my hair doesn't really shine, or not much anyway, so I've just kinda accepted that. I think some hair just doesn't shine as much as others because of its texture.

I didn't really measure the puddle of RR I used, but I would say it was the size of a very big puddle in the middle of your palm, maybe a bit more. Except I didn't put it in my palm first, I poured it straight in. So, kinda random!

But I do think pouring the gel first helps because if I scrunch ONLY then the whole of my hair isn't going to get covered properly. And if I rake/smooth THEN scrunch, I disturb some of the canopy waves/curls because of the raking/smoothing. So pouring it first works to make sure that my canopy has enough product without disturbing then I can scrunch the waves that are there knowing that it is all covered in product!

When you say you need more definition do you mean that you get seperation frizz within the curl? I still get a bit of that even with above routine. I guess it needs tweaking hehe.

OK I am going to try the products again this time doing a ACV rinse before and doing your RR dilution trick. I'll let you know how it goes! Thanks!
