I love both Jessicurl and Devacurl. I use both of their cleansers and conditioners. I alternate but I do end up using Too Shea most in the winter and One Condition or Elucence most in the summer.

I use RR or Gelebration everyday under whatever gel I'm using. For gels I'm all over the place, some of my favorites are: B&A gel, Angell, Nexxuss POTAR, Abba Weightless, some Suave's I've used are okay.

I like Jessicurl's Awe spray and a little Boots for 2nd day hair.

I am fairly early in the process of figuring my hair out, so, this could change tomorrow but:

Here are the products I like the most so far,

Too Shea
EMB conditioner
HCC
RR with a little CCSS (NO CCSS on its own though!)
CK
B&A gel
Suave M&H for a conditioning wash day
Awe Spray

Coconut oil mixed with honey for DT (mixing coconut oil w/water and spraying my dry hair works well to combat frizz, learned this accicdently at the pool )

Now I just have to figure out how much and which ones to use together

I tend to not use enough product so I am working on that as well.

I really want to try Aloeba and Gelebration next.

I am finding in the summer I am leaning more and more towards Jessicurl along with B&A. But in spring/winter I really like the Aveda Be-curly and B&A. I do find I need a more hold gel, right now for the canopy. It is either Dep sport (its ok, not great) or Biosilk RHG (again, its ok) for now. Still looking for a really good strong hold gel that won't weigh the hair down.

Susan, have you tried the Abba Weightless Gel yet? It doesn't weigh me down at all, yet it has exceptional hold. I've been using a bit of it (maybe pea sized blob) for my roots in the front/top of my hair lately no matter what else I use on the rest of my hair. I can only use it by itself over CK for the rest of my hair, though, or mixed in my palm with another gel. The CK (or another gel) helps the spreadability of the Abba, but it's a great holding gel that doesn't weigh my hair down at all

2b~~fine texture~~normal porosity (except for highlights, which are high)~~normal elasticity~~medium density

Shampoo: Still use sulfates, but only on roots
Rinse out: Deva One C, JC Too Shea, Original Sprouts Deep Conditioner
Curl Enhancers: KCCC; JC Rocking Ringlets, JC Spiralicious, & Confident Coils
Styler: BRHG (over any and all curl enhancers) - this is the one product that I never change - absolute HG!!

I tried it a few months ago and couldn't get it to work, so I gave it to a curly friend of mine. But I think I may try to pick some up and give it another try. I keep hearing such good things about it, I wonder if maybe I didn't give it a fair try the first time.

I like all of the options, but I am an Aveda fan from way back.

Shampoo: Aussie Moist
Conditioner: Aloeba (brand new-only used once)
Product: Dove Smooth something Anti-Frizz cream

I am not entirely satisfied with this routine. I will be interested to see if the Aloeba helps. I think sometimes I get my hair overconditioned and it gets too soft. Also, we have a swamp, (evaporative) cooler, which keeps the air extremely moist and I think that is contributing to my overall droopy waves with poofiness! Those of you who don't live in Colorado may never have heard of a swamp cooler because it ONLY works in dry climates. It cools by blowing air through a wet filter. Very effective, but not helpful with my hair!

I am open to suggestions, as I am COMPLETELY ignorant when it comes to allowing my hair to be its own hair!

I've only used the trial sizes of Jessicurl (Aloeba, RR, Gelebration, Awe) and should try some of the new things. I'm thinking of trying her CCS (the new product, can't think of the name!) when my CK runs out.

I'm slowly narrowing my favorites to a few and hopefully put an end to my PJ tendencies. Hope springs eternal
