Default I don't think CG will completely work for me

I needed to use shampoo. I think my silky hair gets weighed down way too much to use so much condish. I am sticking to sulfate free poos and no cones. I also may not always wash my hair but the condish every day was way too much.

I did like the curls though. Hmmmmm....

Any thoughts? I may feel different after my hair cut on wed.

I completely understand. I rotate between Jessicurl HCC and washing with Suave M&H conditioner. But, I have feeling my hair is in worse shape than yours

My daughters hair seems the same way as yours. She is able to condition wash with Suave M&H, but, she also has to use CON detangling conditioner shampoo as well. My advice would be to do what works for your hair. And, if that is washing then find gentler/healthier shampoo's that work for you. Try CON if you want grocery store shampoo or if you don't mind ordering I would recommend trying HCC or Deva low poo.

HTH,

Kimberly

I shampoo every 3 days. I try to go longer, but my hair gets oily OR flat. I have tried HCC and condish wash with suave m&H, and they extend me one day. I thought ACV was the ticket, but couldn't stretch to a week. If you are a wavie, then CG book says you get to shampoo once a week with non-sulfate shampoo SO you're still CG I originally thought I was boticelli and tried that routine, but hair lays flat at scalp and needs the poo so switched to wavie routine. Adding condish to ends and then shampoo to scalp works good. Then rinse, condish and rinse again right away instead of leaving it in (jessie does this with her own aloeba instead following directions on bottle.)

I usually wash every 3-4 days. I started by trying CG a year ago and I really needed to wash sometimes. I bought HCC and loved it. I know it doesn't suds up but it really leaves my hair feeling clean. I alternate between HCC, Deva No Poo, Low Poo and Suave Coconut cond. for washing now and have had no problems.

I think I had to wash with something every other day for a while and then I gradually got to every 3-4 days. I can go up to the 5th day sometimes in the winter!! On the in between days if I wet my hair I only condition the ends enough to detangle and that's it. If I put conditioner on my hair and got it near the roots that would make my hair look blah and a little greasy.

If you really massage your scalp when you wash with whatever you're using and just concentrate on putting conditioner on your ends, you may find you can put more time between washes after a while.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I think I really am a true wavy. My hair doesn't dry out too badly and condish seems to weigh it down. Today I tried to just water wash and that seemed to work well. I like my new organic sulfate free shampoo. My scalp seems to be in much better shape now.

I am having such fun experimenting. Also I'm sorry to those who have noticed that I repeat myself a lot. Once I get a routine, it will probably stop!

It's hard to keep all the information and conversations straight, isn't it? Feel free to repeat with me.....I won't remember that you are repeating yourself

I am sure we all repeat ourselfs when it comes to our hair
