Sorry, did you notice in my pictures that I am blond?
That is so neat that you were the chosen one who got the curly hair! That makes it so special. And, I completely understand, my Gramma is my role model too. She passed away last year at 90. She was super Gramma too up until the last year. We were on vacation together last July and she actually asked my permission to let go. I told her that she had given us all more than we could have ever hoped for and that we wanted her to be at peace. She passed away two months later.

I still find myself talking to her. It is hard for me to be really sad about her passing because what I said above is true. I feel so blessed to have had her for 31 years. Who could ask for me than that!?
My hair has been an issue for me for so long because I always treated it like it was straight. I would try "curly" products, but, the wrong ones. I just didn't know any better. I spent so much of my life trying to tame what I thought was big hair. Turns out it was just really wavy, but, made at me

Now, I am so happy to have found NC.com. No more straightening for me, ever!
The good news is DD has wavy hair and she will never go through what I went through. She poos once a week and uses a leave-in already. For second day hair we just smooth a little of my gel over her canopy and she is ready to go.
