Kim, I have tried creams in my hair and never quite got it right. I just love that natural look that you are getting with your cream/angell combo...I might have to try out creams with angell one of these days! You have inspired me to do this (and to finally purchase angell)! I think it might just work.

Do you get crunch with this combo? I'm just wondering because you have two creams in there, so maybe this softens the gel a bit? Just curious cause I don't really like to scrunch out the crunch of gels...

First of all let me say that I can not believe that I am giving you hair advice Your hair is gorgeous, but, if I can help make it be even more gorgeous let me try

I hate crunch too! But, I do not get any crunch with this combo at all. I have also been rotating Angell with Back to Nature Rosemary Mint Clean gel for the past week in this combo and getting just as good results. I orderd mine before the curlmart sale, but, I plan on oredering again this month because it is 50% off! I tried cream before too with blah results. I actually swapped one re:coil away. The trick for me with re:coil is to mix it with coco light to be able to distribute it easier. Coco light is really more of a oily/watering consistency; and, gives me great moisture so it is perfect to mix with re:coil.

You're so cwazy Kim! I mean that in a good way of course! YOU have such beautiful hair with perfect lil waves (you have to REALLY believe this) and you're so sweet in helping me!

I am going through this crazy experimentation phase (thanks to NC.com! ) to try and get different looks. I don't know why either, cause my routine works for me, but it is just so much fun to play with products!!!! (is this the beginning of PJism???)

I haven't mastered the natural look yet and if I could make a combo where I just have to put some products in my hair, let them air dry and no need to scrunch out any crunch...that would be my perfect routine! Maybe I will stop playing with my products then....but maybe not... !

You are most definately in the begining stage of PJism. I am still trying all sorts of things even though I have found a perfect combo for my hair. But, hey, I could always found a " more perfecter" combo, right!?

As far as my hair goes, I know it looks awesome for my hair, I just have unrealistic expectations. I want curly hair; and, I am still making friends with my: "somewhere between straight and curly hair on the isle of indecision" hair

Well said! that's what we all dream about... a 'perfecter combo' ! Hey, we are at least positive thinkers though!

If I'm really in the first stage of PJism.... sad20gif ...I don't want to admit it! I'm still trying to fight it! There are so many things I would like to try though...oh the possibilities! I'll lose the battle sooner or later though.

About hair, I think every type is so beautiful and they can't be compared to one another. I was taught to love my curly hair since I was a lil child. For me, my curly hair is kind of a family legacy so maybe that is why I love mine so much, it means so much to me. My great grandma passed it on to my grandma, then my mom got it, then me. I love my grandma's hair, she has long silver curls. I want to have hair like hers when I get old!

I think you are so lucky to have family legacy hair. I *think* my gramma could have had wavy hair upon reflection, but, she set it so I am guessing, and, have no way to find out now. It is funny though because I am the only one in my family with hair like this so it took me years to figure out that I couldn't treat my hair like it was straight. I was 32 when I figured it out and this was two months ago The funny thing is that in my house DD and I are wavies, DH is a curly (not sure what yet, his hair is still too short, but, he is actually loving his curls since I have been helping him. He wishes he had this info in high school so he didn't have to buzz cut ) DS is the odd one out with poker straight hair that is so thick clippers get stuck in it

Kim, now that I read my previous post it sounds kind of funny, but I knew what I was talking about when I wrote it and I presumed you would easily understand me! ! Silly me! I think you got the gist of it but what I was trying to say about family legacy is that only one person in my family gets the curly hair. It's been like that from generation to generation since my greatgrandma (well, that I know of). Weird huh? I am the only curly haired child my mom had! My lil sister has super straight hair just like your sister.

I wish I had a picture of my grandma's hair...I have to take one of it someday. She has such great hair and my grandad loves it! He loves it that she keeps it long, and she does so for him. She's 80 something and she still up and around. She is super grandma. Can you tell I love the women in my family? They're my role models. I am getting sad just typing this because I miss them all, they are all so far away...

That is so cool that you have learned to manage your hair now! It's never too late! I can see now why you have such like/dislike relationship for your hair! You are just learning to love it and understand it! Your hair is beautiful and I'm glad that you are starting the process of embracing it. !

Sorry, did you notice in my pictures that I am blond?

That is so neat that you were the chosen one who got the curly hair! That makes it so special. And, I completely understand, my Gramma is my role model too. She passed away last year at 90. She was super Gramma too up until the last year. We were on vacation together last July and she actually asked my permission to let go. I told her that she had given us all more than we could have ever hoped for and that we wanted her to be at peace. She passed away two months later. I still find myself talking to her. It is hard for me to be really sad about her passing because what I said above is true. I feel so blessed to have had her for 31 years. Who could ask for me than that!?

My hair has been an issue for me for so long because I always treated it like it was straight. I would try "curly" products, but, the wrong ones. I just didn't know any better. I spent so much of my life trying to tame what I thought was big hair. Turns out it was just really wavy, but, made at me Now, I am so happy to have found NC.com. No more straightening for me, ever!

The good news is DD has wavy hair and she will never go through what I went through. She poos once a week and uses a leave-in already. For second day hair we just smooth a little of my gel over her canopy and she is ready to go.
