I'm a novice at enhancing curl pattern in my long wavy (probably a 2b with some parts 2c, thick and coarse) hair since I've been straightening it for years. So far I've been using a moisturizing s+c from Kenra. I've been experimenting with different products: Joico ICE whip leaves hair crunchy and sometimes flat on top and full at the bottom, Garnier Surf Hair leaves hair stiff and matte, Frederic Fekkai Wave Spray leaves hair stiff, Kerastase Elasto-Curl leave-in is nice but it dilutes and weighs down the waves. Any reccomendations for enhancing the curl/wave pattern?

I highly recommend Jessicurl Rockin' Ringlets or Gelebration. They are really good at enhancing curls. They don't have hold so I put one of them under my gel.

Ditto the other girls, as well as Biosilk Rock Hard Gel. This gel makes me curlier than anything I've ever used. I do use it over CK, AG Re:coil, or Jessicurl RR/CCSS combo. When my hair is dry, I run my fingers through my hair ALONG my scalp, starting at the nape of my neck. This loosens the hair from the scalp & gives me fantastic volume, gets rid of any stiffness or crunch, & leaves the curl intact.

I'm finding Devacurl Set It Free to give me quite
a bit of wave enhancement. I spray it over and through
dry hair and scrunch a little. It's not crunchy
but can be a little waxy if you use too much.
About 6 pumps of the spray for my chin length layered hair works well.

Angell works well for me. I let it dry completely [still looking wet and crunchy], flip upside down, scrunch out crunch, and pu my fingers through my hair ar the scalp and shake for volume.My curls last longer with this than anything else I've tried. I have yet to try JessiCurl or Re:coil yet [school is 'spensive :P ]

I layer either Biosilk RHG (my favorite) or Aquage Defining Gel over Aveda Be Curly or Re:coil or Karite Nut Curl Milk. Occasionally I mix in a quarter-sized puddle or so of B & A with either the curl enhancer or the gel, depending on my mood. SiF is my current finishing product.

I love all these products, but again: plopping and diffusing both give me the best curl enhancement.
