2Cs - wavy or curly

Ajane: Thanks for the tip!

Lolo: LOVE the chin-length look on you. I'm jealous -- I can only go just above the shoulders, but I'd love that length.

Feralcurls: I was interested in what you said about "dropping the spirals for waves." Does anybody know how to do that? I'd love to have another option for the days when my spirals aren't taking off. (I always have a mix of spirals and waves, anyway!)

Wurly and proud!

Just saw Meg Ryan's hair in her new film and I want that!!!

So I need to try and drop the spirals into waves!

Fia: 2c with some 3a around my face currently using: CV shampoo bars 3X/week, no conditioner, Dove Curl&Sculpt Mousse, Aussie Catch the Wave mousse/leave-in, Suave Anti-frizz cream, Dove flexible hold hairspray after scrunching. Air dry for looser waves, diffuse for more curl/tighter waves.
Yes those waves! lol. Have no idea either how to do it. It looks like it is all one length though and I have layers, so I guess I need to grow those out.

I'm wondering if she used rollers or something though. Her hair is usually more on the messy side when it is curly.

Mine's all one length, but not that long (growing it "experimentaly" tho--I miss it long, but I don't know if the wave will hold up to longer, so I'll stop when it falls apart) and certainly not that perfect!

I don't get to pick. LOL! Having waves vs. curls is really a matter of weather, product and whether my hair likes me or not. There are days where is will go flat and refuse to play with me - well, except for that spot on the back of my head that will wave up even if I am trying to be a straity.

Well I finger combed it quite hard this morning and put no curl cream or gel in it, just an oil and I have more waves than spirals. And it is inches longer, lol.

Still looks messy though! I am really rapt with how it feels though after a couple of weeks on CG and it isn't too frizzy. I just look like I have just got out of bed, lol!!
Addendum to the ACV rinse: I live in the north where it hardly ever rains in the summer and we rarely have humidity. I did a rinse on Saturday, but for the last two days I have been watching my hair grow and frizz because it is humid, overcast, and trying to rain a little. Even the weatherman on the news tonight made a comment about women's frizzy hair! So, maybe the ACV is not so successful with taming frizzies for several days for those who live in a more humid climate! Or maybe my experiment with not using gel was not timed so well!
I want my hair to look neat and it never does, when I wear it "natural." All this time I thought of myself as a Type 3 curly because it's so coarse and thick, but in reality it's 2C-- plus a month or so ago, I did a mild relaxer which made it less frizzy and more loose. So I have to go back and start from scratch to find a new routine! It's really frustrating!

I am at an utter loss. I am mostly 'poo-free but I do like my 'cones.
Modified CG. You'll pry my 'cones from my cold dead fingers! Mixed waves, coarse, below shoulder length, dark brown. I hate my hair but I'm trying to learn to accept it.

Gels: LA Looks Wet Look Styling Gel, Garnier Fructis Wet Shine Gel. Condish: Alberto V05 Free Me Fresia, Tresemme' Flawless Curls, LVPNG, Neutrogena Triple Moisture. Shampoo: Tresemme' Flawless Curls. Silicone Serum: Whatever is on sale, but I don't leave home without it.
If you are using cones but not poo then the cones might be building up on your hair. From what I can work out you need to poo out cones! But I am a newbie so might be wrong, lol.

I use a low poo but do the odd SLS poo to prevent any possible build up.

I think wavies can poo more than curlies.
