i am definitely a 2c with alot of hair. my mom loves my hair but i always think it is too poofy, becuase it is only about 3-4 inches past my shoulders when it is semi straight. but then i wave it, its really poofy almost like a triangle?! i need a hair cut, and was looking into layer and an angle cut to frame my face. is there any guidelines that i need to know to tell my hairdresser, does anyone have any good pics of haircuts/styles. plus whenever i try to wear my hair wavy/curly it stays for a while with the products i use( mousse and curl enhancer) but by lunch time at school its just messy. is there a balm or creme that can tame these tresses??

I'm not exactly a 2c, but I am a wavy. I really like long layers (layers that are close together). Layers that are too far apart tend to look so separated that they create a mushroom effect---on me anyway.

The only thing I can tell you is don't let them cut more than you want. I asked for a trim, trusted the hair dresser, and my arm pit length hair was soon ABOVE my shoulders. It helped my curl spring back up, but I don't look very good with hair that short. Now all I do is wear it up and hope it grows fast.
