Wow that looks like my hair! I am new as well and I just thought I was a 2a after reading the hair types page here... if not I'll be sure to change it...
I'd say your hair looks like a 2a/b mix.
2 b/c :: slight protein sensitivity :: med/coarse texture :: normal porosity

You may want to try CG. The Pantene products usually have silicones - anything that ends with 'cone, 'conol' or 'xane - that can be damaging to curly hair. Your 2b curls might tighten up with proper care. Here is a site with info to get you started:
