my first curly cut

I did it!! After 2 weeks CG, I braved a haircut with a new stylist and I'm so happy with the results!! I went in with poofy, dry, triangular hair (a bit wavy underneath and fairly straight on top). I was afraid that I would be told that my hair was not curly enough, but she saw my hair's potential with continued CG! I did buy the Deva products that she used today, but I plan to alternate them with the cheaper products that I've been using.

http://public.fotki.com/elita-one/ (pw: babywaves) These pictures are from tonight after I restyled my hair (I had to practice for tomorrow morning) I had been plopping overnight, but my hair is too short for that now. So tonight I plopped for 15 min, air-dried for 45, then pixiecurl diffused (took me 30min).

Does anyone have any ideas how to get the bottom a little more curly. I think I may not diffuse upside down next time, as it seems to have given me a part in the back. I'm also thinking about ordering a curl towel to cut my drying time.

I still have so much more experimenting and practicing to do!

Very pretty! Are you scrunching in your products? I find that after scrunching in product all over, I take a bit more of my gel and scrunch the ends ONLY a bit more to be 100% sure they've received product as well. This helps to make my ends a bit more wavy and less obvious.

it looks great and very healthy
thanks ladies! I got lots of compliments at work this morning and was actually asked if I got a perm ("no perm, just changed how I take care of my hair"). A curly-haired coworker even asked how I made my hair so frizz-free and I recommended this site!
