Default Best Hair Day of my LIFE!!!

YAY! I have been so frusterated with the heat. My hair had become limp and I actually wished for winter to come back (I feel so ashamed...)

But I was thinking last night about what I was doing to my hair when I liked the way it looked. I remembered that I was using Graham Webb Making Waves Gel and loving it. But then I got on the Curly Girl bangwagon and tossed the Making Waves. It is alcohol and silicone free, but it had wheat protein (in the very last few ingredients) so it just wouldn't do. But I have found through reading other people's posts and observing my own hair that wavy hair often needs a variation of CG. So...

I bought it last night at Beauty Brands (~$14). I diffused my hair 50% and wasn't sure about my purchse when I looke in the mirror. But after the rest air-dried and I tausled it a bit, I was floored! It made my hodge-podge of 2a through 3a hair so uniform and soft and defined and shiny! I don't look like I have gel in my hair, and it has SO MUCH BODY!

I get it now...wavy hair is not curly hair. It needs different things. It is amazing to look in the mirror and feel good and just get on with your day! I wish I could take a picture and post it, but I am at work, and as we wavies know, it will be a bit droopy by five o'clock. But I intend to enjoy every minute of this

Hair is pretty great now that it's colder, now I'm focusing on my skin. Sniffle.

Awesome! We have such similar hair and I have actually recently modified cg a bit b/c my hair was becoming too limp and over conditioned Our hair isnt as dry as true curlies! I'm actually using garnier fructis scrunching gel now and loving it, although I go back to angell every now and then..

Im glad you are finding what works, allicat! I've actually just tried a new mousse from Herbal Essences called Totally Twisted. It really gives volume a boost.
