Default We should all be proud of our wavy hair (:

Think about it. We get both of both worlds. We can straighten our hair, we can curl our hair (And it will stay in much better than people with straight hair ), and we can leave our hair natural and get pretty waves that celebrities on the red carpet always try to get. (;

Some of us may want curlier hair, but we should just be proud with what we have. (:

Juss wanted to put this out there.

Hear hear!

I've seen quite a few wavies lamenting over the fact that they don't have "curls" when their waves are beautiful.

I'll admit that when I first started out I imagined my hair to be curlier than it actually is. After getting typed correctly here, learning how to care for my hair, and seeing the pretty waves emerge, I feel more than a little smug reading how this or that celebrity had to use a styling tool to achieve the waves we naturally have.

I agree! Although I am having a rough time keeping the waves/curls from frizzing out by the end of the day...reminder to myself---> bring refresher to leave at work...water doesn't cut it...

Oh, I loooove my waves. They are kinda like beach waves, exactly what all the straighties try to get by using salt sprays and what not. Also I love that my hair looks different every time I wash it. Straight hair always look the same... But it's less work I guess. I dont mind having high maintenance hair though

(This is my first post BTW. Love this site )

I love my waves, just not the frizz. Hopefully I can fix that soon though.

I'd feel lucky to have all waves or all curls - it's my mish-mash of 2/3A that sometimes gets me down.

Default Actually I always envied wavies!

It's funny, when I first came here I thought I was a super-curly, but in reality I've emerged as a wavy. This was far from a problem for me 'tho because when I thought I was a curly I desperately envied "those lucky wavies!"

Turns out I AM one! Lucky me!

Now that I finally have a routine that works for them (rather than trying to force the poor dears into a curl they couldn't reach-, my waves are softer, shinier, and better-defined and I get compliments on my hair. So I'm thrilled with wavedom
