I know this may be super hard advice to follow, but try not to buy any other products until you've tried these. That way, you can return some of the ones that don't work and save money. I wish I had done that when I first went CG instead of buying every product in sight.
Also, the learning curve with KCCC is a little high so if you try it the first time and it doesn't look great, give it one or two more tries. I have also found that using KCKT as a leave in feels amazing if you put a tiny bit too much in your hair and then rinse it through.

A voice of reason! My wallet thanks you Yeah I'm set for a while, I figure that even if I don't like any of those products immediately I may find I like them when I'm a few weeks/months into CG. When I start feeling like I "need" something new my next move will probably be making DIY products since it'll be cheaper.
I've read about the learning curve with KCCC, so I'll try it a few times before I pass judgment. And that's actually exactly how I used the KCKT today, I thought I used way too much at first but my hair feels pretty nice now that it's just about dry!

Hit: SS CEJ, this stuff is really nice and wave enhancing in my hair, especially when applied to soaking wet hair

I bought a small bottle of Kiehl's Hair Conditioner and Grooming Aid Formula 133. I guess it's supposed to be a light conditioner (with protein) that can be used as a LI. And I picked up some agave nectar which I hope will be a holy grail product .

I've been pretty good about controlling my inner PJ but the other day I picked up Beautiful Curls Curl Activiating Cream. I think it'll be replacing SheaM Smoothie.

4Naturals Spring Back Curling Custard, a jelly type styler.
Picked it up for $7 on sale & I am loving it so far as an alternative to KCCC & FSG.

I bought some DevaCurl spray gel! Granted, I've only used it once, but so far I really love it. I used it with my moroccan curl mousse. Have nice definition and volume.

So, when I started CG I went straight to the expensive products and never tried Suave coconut or any of the other 'cheap' CO's others rave about. So far every combination I've tried seems to leave my fine hair weighted down or feeling coated. So I decided to try some of the cheaper brands to see if a less moisturizing cowash will help (my hair doesn't seem to like lowpoo either, they're either too heavy or too stripping). So today I went to Target and bought 5 conditioners:
Suave Coconut
VO5 volumizing (orange)
VO5 Clarifying (kiwi)
Burt's Bees volumizing
Alba Botanica volumizing (mango) **oops this one has cones--it's going back**
And this is after I ordered a bunch of Spiral Solutions protein filled products to try. Luckily 3 of these are super cheap and the other two were on sale. It's gonna take me two weeks to try them all. . Wish me luck!

I may have accidentally ordered
GBP glycogen protein conditioner
Rockin Ringlets
Ecostyler gel x 2
And have finally started experimenting with
Curls Coconut Sublime
Curls Milkshake
Curl Keeper.
In my defence I've had to switch conditioners as they've reformulated my HG and I now have hair from hell. Never been fully happy with my cheap gel but this experimenting is showing me it needs changing.
