So 2's what did you do to your hair today?

Like Tree296Likes

Washed with SS MCS, added SS RPT for an hour, rinsed, added SS DDMT for another hour (actually, a little more...I was chatting with a long time friend on FB at the hour mark), rinsed again. My hair was actually super soft and moisturized after the RPT, and I probably didn't need the DDMT, but the way my hair has been lately, I opted to go all the way.

I sprayed a little SS SSPS all over and added some BS Cottonseed Curl Boost to wet hair in sections, including upside down followed by SS CEJ. Scrunched in some water over the sink super soak style and plopped for 20 minutes. Added some HEBE gel, scrunched in water for clumps again, scrunched with tee and re-plopped for about 5 minutes and diffused, after setting part.

I'm happy to have shiny hair again, and I know once I SOTC I will have soft hair too. I'm gonna have to give up the Jessicurl samples for sure, but I want to try one more experiment with the Curls Gel-Les'C before I release it to the swap boards.

I'm in the PNW too and I am having a helluva time with my hair right now with the change in the weather.

Today I attempted to get 2nd day hair by spritzing in a lot of Mister Right and scrunching in plenty of KCSS. Then I plopped my damp head into a dry t-shirt for about 5 min.

Result: A big frizzy head of 3a looking curls! Not really a good look but I'm seeing a lot more spirals than I'm used to.
Sort of CG sometimes, but not really
2B, medium? normal porosity and elasticity?

I bought a few new products at Whole Foods on Saturday and am trying to figure out which I truly like and which I need to return. Today I decided to back off on all the products and just keep it simple. I went back to a co-wash, rinse-out/leave-in, and a gel (ones that I know I like).I used:

Suave Naturals Ocean Breeze
Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition
Biosilk Rock Hard Gelee

My hair is having a great day! I even got a compliment from another curly that I work with who has gone sulfate-free (but not silicone-free). She said my hair looked great and that she never saw it so curly!

The only product I'm still hesitating about returning is the KCKT. I do really like it, but not sure if it is any better than the GFTN as a leave-in. I guess tomorrow's experiment is to try it and compare.

I do like the idea of a curl enhancer, but I think the Beautiful Curls one I've been trying (shea butter curl enhancing cream for curly to kinky hair) is too heavy and "producty" for my hair. I've been wanting to try Curl Junkie CIAB. Can anyone tell me if it's light (or at least lighter than some)? I'm going to read up on it on the threads and decide if I want to order some next week when the other CJ new products come out.

I am just a newbie - and trying my best to figure out what works best....
I just ordered a whole bunch of products - so I will be trying some new stuff soon...
last night tried MOP C Curl cleanser, honey rinse, MOP C conditioner, MOP C leave-in with a drop of honey and then the MOP C curl definer - plopped for 5-minutes and then diffused just a bit with the pixie method...

decent clumping but not great waves/curls - doesn't look bad but the few waves there were definitely fizzled during the day and became quite frizzy... tomorrow morning I will try something else... and soon will try with an AVC rinse and see how that goes...

Well, staying on topic of the thread.... Today I cowashed with Suave, scrunched in HETT mousse, plopped for too long, then dried with a diffuser after adding some HESMU gel. It looks about average for what I've been getting in this weather, less wave than usual. I'm thinking it would be less flat if I got it cut shorter (and less of a pain to deal with) but I don't want to have a cone slip with a hair salon that insists on blow drying my hair straight. I don't really trust those people....
Mostly 2B with some 2C on a good day, M/Ciii
Shoulder length, and I use permanent hair color.

Conditioners: Suave Naturals, Garnier Triple Nutrition

Low poo: L'Oreal Everpure
Styling: The Body Shop's Cottonseed Curl Boost, HESMU (winter)
, LALSG and LALCG (summer),
Hair hates: magnesium sulfate (extremely drying!), glycerin in the winter.
Tried CJ Curl Assurance Smoothing Gellie again, without a leave-in and with Ecostyler on top. Much better results this time, although still a bit producty in places. But it looks decent, so I guess I'll keep it, and maybe try using a little less next time.
2a, very fine, very thick, protein-loving, not especially porous. cg since july 2010.

cleanse: cj daily fix, vo5 vanilla mint tea

treatments: ss repairing protein, ss deeply decadent
techniques: icequeen, plopping, scrunching upside down, pixie diffusing
I did my usual routine and then went in for a trim and need to go undo everything my stylist just did...

Got the bottom 3" chopped off so now I have nice smooth hair agian. Been needing to part with them for a while but just didn't want to yet .

I asked her what my hair's texture was and she said it was normal/medium. I thought is was on the finer side, but guess not. So that is nice to know.

V05 cowash, icequeen then GFTN for LI, plop. Next I unscrewed the top of my KCSS bottle and poured a bunch of it into my hand and scrunched it in. Scrunched in ArcAngel. Plopped again with a new t-shirt. Scrunched in a bit more KCSS and ArcAngel

Air dried for 4-5 hours? Then SOTC with Tweek for the first time. It looks pretty good! One side is much curlier/3Aish and the other which is decidedly 2A.

Renpure co-wash, Biolage RO and LI, AG Mousse Gel after squeezing out excess water, 20min plop, clip crown, airdry. (All as usual, I'm so boring )

I think I have a bit more body with the new cut. Seems fuller on the sides.

Heidi-I want fuller on the sides. Mine is still a long cut with long layers. Perhaps after her advanced training my stylist will like the idea better than she has.

Last night I used Recoil, diffused and then added BRHG with damp hands. Recoil may have to go back since it acts like a leave in rather than a curl cream with any hold. Makes my hair soft and shiny but I lose definition.

I may redo tonight since my MOP Curl cream shows out for delivery. I will try that with BRHG and diffuse as usual! If it does not work I am going to take a break from new stuff and stick with my consistent count on products-SS FHG and BRHG.

Good luck with the MOP C. It was the first thing I tried and sadly it didn't work for me (I've since found I can't use anything with 'quats ). Lots of ladies seem to really love it so hopefully it's a keeper for you.

Today I low poo'd with Mop C hydrating shampoo, rinsed with CJ Curl Rehab. Scrunched out condish upside down ala icequeen and then scrunched in BellaCurl leave-in.

Scrunched in Jessicurl RR and then some HESMU and plopped. Hair actually doesn't look too bad considering the insane humidity here lately. The last time I had a really unexpected good hair day was the last time I used a leave-in. I will definitely start using a leave-in and see if my hair likes that better!

justajesuschick, I hope the Mop C works well for you! I have that cream and like it ok.
Coarse texture, normal-high porosity, normal elasticity (Komaza Care), very weak waves
cleanser: Redken Fresh Curls Shampoo, CJ Daily Fix

rinse out: GVP Conditioning Balm, CJ Repair Me, CJ Smoothing

jellies/creams: CR Curl Maker, KCCC, UFD Curly Magic
gels: CJ CQ, BRHG

Today I washed my hair with Deva no poo, then conditioned with deva one con. Squeezed out excess water from my hair and scrunched in Deva Angell.
I let my hair dry for about five minutes and then clipped it up at the roots. Once my hair was dry I took out the clips and massaged the roots of my hair lightly to create some extra volume.
I love how my hair looks since I started using the deva products and got a deva curly cut

2a/3a fine hair
Scrunched in Jessicurl RR and then some HESMU and plopped.

My hair hasn't looked so great since the end of August. Today I cowashed, scrunched in La Bella Sports Gel, plopped for about half an hour, then I diffused it and added HESMU gel using Smasters technique. It looks okay, I guess, no loose spirals, just 2B waves in the front and 2A in the back. Can anyone recommend a good curl activator sort of product? I'm looking to add something like that to my routine.

Today I water washed, rinsed out with Marie Dean Vanilla Coconut conditioner. First time I've used it and wasn't very impressed at first! It seemed really runny and liquidy.

Mod icequeen and then scrunched in BC leave-in, Darcy's coiling jelly and a few pea sized amounts of BHRG.

Hair turned out really well! Waves were big and wavy and held despite running in and out of the rain.
