So 2's what did you do to your hair today?

Love, thy name is KCCC. I found this for only $18.99 (normally $26) at Whole Foods near me, and decided that if I didn't like it, I could always swap it.

So, from start to finish: I used what felt like a ton of AOGBP, because I thought my hair might need some protein. I left that on for approximately 6 to 8 minutes, then rinsed. My hair felt a little dry, so I applied some GFTN (rake, then sprunch upside down) left that on for about 5 minutes, and rinsed upside down. I then sprunched out the excess water, and used a pea-sized amount of GFTN as a leave-in on my canopy. Then I held my breath, and applied the KCCC in four sections, sprunching it in. I then sprunched in about a nickel's worth of HETT gel. I plopped for about 20 minutes, then discovered that my hair was still W-E-T wet, and diffused 90% of the way. In about another 20 minutes, I SOTC.

I adore it. It's picked my waves up in a way that my beloved HETT just hasn't been doing this week. It's true, it did take a longer plop/more time diffusing to get it to set, but I've got root wave again!

I'm going to sleep on it, so I'd imagine I'll need a refresher in the morning. But here are some pics! My hair feels moisturized, touchable, and not product-y (though I was afraid I may have used too much KCCC). The crunch sprunched out nicely, and my hair seems happy.

The only real downside is that it takes longer to diffuse. But I think I can live with that!

Okay, so DEL was trying to get me to try CK. SO yesterday I did. It was such a bizarre experience. I should never use SLIP detangler from CHS again. Every time I use it my hair goes nearly straight. CK makes my hair stringy. I gave up trying to diffuse it last night, and figured I'd try plopping for a while (it was a mess!!). I finally realized about halfway through the night that my hair does not dry in a plop. So at 2 am I took it out. It dried by morning.

I have this weird puffball thing going on. I have a ton of volume, stringy waves, but no frizz. LOL.

All in all, it doesn't look as bad as I thought it was going to, but its not my fave. I'm digging the volume, but the plopping gave me enough wonky parts that I am not in love with the look right now.

And no, I don't know why that piece looks blonde. Its not. It is a little lighter, but its not blonde. hahaha.

I actually like it..true it's got a more wavy beachy look but I think it looks a lot better than what you've indicated!

And yeah for no frizz!!!! Maybe just switch it up a bit? You might be on to something with the CK!

Actually goobernut, I really like your hair in these pics! Curious, why did DEL mention CK to you? I'm wondering if it might be something I should try!

Isn't KY the poor curly's version of CK? If so, your pics just talked me into trying it!

Goobernut - I think it looks cute!

I had a good hair day on Friday (the first picture). I showered in the morning and pixie diffused. I'm now trying to figure out if I can shower at night (because it's easier to shower when my 16-month-old is asleep) and get the same results. Last night I tried putting it in a pineapple when it was still very wet. This morning I used a spray bottle to wet it and then diffused. It did give me more curl, but they still look crushed from sleeping on them (second picture). Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Looks good, Motley!!

Goober, I had NO luck with CK and gave it away. My hair looked weird, stringy, and not pretty at all.

Today I used AOMM/HETT.

Today was a co-wash day. After I got out of the shower I just used my LI and then scrunched in HETT mousse. I wanted to see how it did by itself...I think I used too much because even after I SOTC I have crunch. Other than that I think it looks good, not as good as other times, but good.

I get my hair cut tonight so I'll post those pictures tomorrow.

Thanks for the compliments everyone

Motley -- I KNOW what you mean about showering while child is sleeping -- its why I still shower at night and my kid is 5. It just became a habit. I probably won't shower in the mornings again until he's moved out hahahaha.

peaches -- DEL mentioned the CK, because in the general thread I was whining about my hair being frizzy and blaming it on the weather -- the dews are still mostly 60-70 here. she said that CK is the only thing that saved her last summer, and since our temps/weather are still summer like, I thought I'd give it a try. Now that I've been out and about, I can say the CK didn't work!!! It totally fell flat and frizzed up. It did help me realize that its the weather though, because I've been inside the air conditioning now for about 30 mins, and the frizz is already calmed down. Its like it totally melted away in the climate controlled indoors. No frizz inside and frizz outside definitely = weather frizzy and not dry and dehydrated frizzy. Though looking at it now, it looks good. I kinda like it. Its barely wavy, but has a little body. Not bad for the potential disaster I thought it was going to be hah! (though it did look really bad in the rearview mirror hehehe)

Alex -- I'm thinking of trying it under the CIAB hehehe. That has the potential to be very good, or very bad LOL! I'm also going to try CK without the Slip detangler. For whatever reason that stuff gives me the weirdest hair. I know what to use if I ever want to straighten it again though.

My front is always wavier than the back. I can't wait for it to all be the same!

What I can't figure out is if I should have my front layers cut to the length of the back layers so they can all be the same now and grow out together - but that would put my shortest layer at my ears. I think that would give me a weird look, right?

We add more conditioner and/or curl creme (CJCCCC) to her hair after spritzing a bit with water. Unfortunately there isn't too much else we can do to make it better..or we haven't found a way. I can't get 2nd day hair with mine either. No way. !

Today was 2nd day hair -- I did a protein rinse last night, used my leave in, and then layered KCCC and HETT gel. I plopped overnight, then misted to refresh and added just a tiny amount of KCCC.

It's frizzy because it's been raining here today (and I took a nap on it today ... oops!) but I have a no-kidding CURL in the front on the right side.

ETA: Pictures! It's end of the day hair that's been rained on, but look at the ringlet!

I spritzed & condished with Suave Coconut, then water washed, then used Pink Boots for the first time. As it dried, I could see that it was getting frizzy, so I added a teeny bit of HETT mousse to try to stop the frizz. Not the best hair day. I'm not sure how I feel about Pink Boots.

Hey gekko, what shampoos do you use? (I feel like I've asked you this before, so forgive me if I'm making you repeat yourself!) And your new cut looks great!
