Today I cowashed with homemade cleansing condish, rinse out was NG chamomile with added neutral protein filler, 2 dollops of AOMM raked & scrunched in, dime of re:coil scrunched in. Plopped about 20 minutes then 2 dollops BRHG. Had to air dry/car diffuse. It's looking pretty good so far but won't be dry for an hour or so.

Plunky your hair looks amazing! I'm very jealous of your spirals.

Today I water washed and ice queen'd with Yes to Cukes. I scrunched in JC RR and plopped for half an hour. Scrunched in some Aussie Instant Freeze and plopped for another 20 mins.

Hair is looking ok for now. I never know how much of the Aussie gel to put in because I'm afraid of it looking really producty.

@Plunkybug: I really love your hair, it looks wonderful!

What I did to my hair today? About everything, and more!
I had a PT that gone bad a couple of days ago and having an appointment with a curly hairdresser coming up (Saturday) I'm desperately trying to save my curly waves. For they went completely flat

This morning washed with low poo and styled as usual. Wet hair looked promising, but when dry it was almost straight again. It is like my hair is covered with a "plastic" layer and won't absorb anything. So I washed my hair again with a sulfate poo, acv-rinse, no co because of my still very soft hairs. Later only put some sea salted water in it to rough it up a bit. When dry, tips were curly, the rest of my hair was fluffy.

Tonight I rinsed with acv again, hairs were like spiderwebs, so I added a tiny bit conditioner to comb it. Then styled my hair as usual. When I took it out of the plop it didn't even feel like hair, but more like squid or something or weed... when wet my hair looks great, but after a while it seems to go straight yet again. I'm going to sleep on it and hope for the best tomorrow. If not, I am going to call the appointment off, don't know what else to do.

The quotable Plunkybug: "I used the bag on head under hot water cacophony method".
That's awesome - and so very descriptive!
Looks sooooo pretty too. I'm growing mine a little longer, but it'll take months to get where you are.

Thought you might like that!

Thanks all for the compliments! It was ok today with no refresher barring wetting my hands, but it was spitting rain out earlier (it was 12C/54F and rainy this morning though a bit warmer on my way home...I know this month begins with a "j" and ends with a "y" but it certainly doesn't FEEL like July here right now; it feels more like January)...so now I am perfecting my Hermione hair in time for HP7 DH Part 2. :P Yep, it's poofy and frizzy. Ha ha! :P

Well, you shouldn't like to be here with oppressive dewpoints and temps well into the 90s/30+C. Feels more like Central Brazil than July.

I gave myself a deep conditioning treatment with Hollywood Avocado Cholesterol (what a gross name), added some KCNT and JCRR then plopped it in a pineapple. My hair feels so wonderful.

Cowashed scalp with Suave ocean breeze and liveclean fresh water in my lenght. Rinse out with DE coconut. Used liveclean purple as LI, sealed with grapeseed oil, scrunched in Pantene curly series gel then plopped for 10 minutes.

Blah. Flat hair, not enought hold and frizz . At least I think I like DE coconut. Will experiment with it some more

So clever!
We're staring down over a week of high temperatures. Not liking it. This is MY summer, darnit, and I want to go out and do things without the heat stroke!

DH and I moved into a new apartment yesterday and today and it was hot outside! Temps are 94*, heat index 108* and dew point is 77. So after getting all sweaty and gross I showered finally!

Washed with CJ Gentle Cleansing Shampoo for the first time and rinsed with Yes to Cukes. Squeezed out as much water as possible and then plopped.

After plopping for awhile I combed my hair and just let it air dry. Believe it or not I do have a few weak waves trying to form but my hair is mostly poufy and wild right now!

I love my hair in high humidity i.e. 75 plus dewpoints.
This is late last night with KMFUM and Free & Clear gel (and wind and having walked in the woods and fought it out with flies and mosquitoes):

This is today with my new gel recipe that might just become a favorite go-to natural gel! This all looks much better in 3D than in a picture (if I do say so myself).

Looks fab! And what is this new gel recipe?

Last night I used Kogi Naturals to wash and condition with, the last bit of Body Shop Cottonseed Curl Boost, some JCRR with condish mixed in, JCCC pre-super soaker and after as I was scrunching water out, a tad of mixed gels (HEBE and Curls Goddess Curls) post plop and a little BRHG and Curls Gel Les'C smastered. Diffused as normal. SOTC on some before bed.

Was out downtown today, and it's been raining for a few days, so it was a bit muggy out today. Right now the humidity is 86F, dewpoint 53F and temp 57F. I'm sure it was a bit different earlier when the sun finally came out and it warmed up a bit.

It's curly but frizzy today. And to a degree, the frizz gave me volume, but in the end it is still frizz.

These were taken earlier, with stronger lighting, mimicking flash a little, so I look less frizzy...

After dunking my head I added curly hair solutions curl keeper, KCNT, CJ Beauticurls,JCRR and topped it off with some Pantene Curly gel. I also put on some handcuffs so I wouldn't play with my hair ( only kidding on that part, but I was tempted) LOL

I like the curly (albeit frizz-ish) look, Plunky. It's very natural-looking!

My new gel recipe...
It's a complicated one (not ingredients you can get easily) - it's flax/psyllium/xanthan/glycerin/panthenol/apricot kernel oil/aloe (in no particular order there).
If I can get it into an easily-made-at-home recipe, I'll share. I'm still tweaking it.

Great hair day!

Sulfate poo, no RO. Scrunched in Shea Moisture DT as LI, combed that in a bit. Scrunched out a lot of water, then plopped. After plop, scrunched in generous amount of KCSS and a small amount of FOTE AVG then clipped. Dried in front of a box fan for a while then scrunched in more KCSS, took out clips and air dried the rest.

I have very little frizz, good clumps, ok volume and it's nice and soft after SOTC. WIN!

Thanks IAGirl! I got some interesting tight-ish spirals in some spots. I'm pretty sure that the frizz is partly related to the Jessicurl, not just the recent weather. I'm also a little drier today as well from it. Adding the conditioner to the RR helps with the dryness, somewhat. But only to a degree. I wish I had the consistency in the back that you have.

Please tweak the gel, and tell us more! Though I don't know if it would work for me as I am glycerin sensitive, though maybe the oil would help the frizz and dryness that eventually comes with it. Odd that you have psyllium...isn't that fiber? Is that like protein?
