So 2's what did you do to your hair today?

Did a brown sugar scrub w/ some V05 vanilla mint condish because my scalp is getting flaky and itchy again. I blame the heat and the fact I keep putting my hair up! Raked in some CJ Curl Rehab and then rinsed.

I scrunched in a little more CR upside after scrunching out some water because it felt dry and none of my other condishes were in reach. Then just plopped.

My hair is surprisingly sort of wavy despite no styling aids or gel! It's a little fuzzy/frizzy but definitely have some waves.
Coarse texture, normal-high porosity, normal elasticity (Komaza Care), very weak waves
cleanser: Redken Fresh Curls Shampoo, CJ Daily Fix

rinse out: CJ Beauticurls, CJ A&OO, CJ Smoothing

jellies/creams: Mop C, KCCC, SCE FSG
gels: CJ CQ, BRHG

Repeated my day 2 routine but upped the gel a bit to hold off a bit more frizz. I don't really like it as much today, it clumped in a weirder pattern and is a little crunchier, and unless I can master the pixie curl diffusing upside down, I'm learning I will never have any volume, period.
fine, thin, normal/(low?) porosity. Mod-CG. Usually I can't co-wash more than 1x a week, & sometimes I have to use T-Gel in rotation due to scalp issues.

Co-wash: VO5 Volumizing
Poo: Giovanni 50:50
RO:TN, Nexxus Youth Renewal, Alba Coconut
LI: KCKT
PT: gelatin PT, ION EC

Gels: SCC spray gel

Cowashed with Suave strawberries
Shampooed with Giovanni TTTT
RO: Nutricap balm
ACV rinse
Rinsed with cold water

Liveclean purple jewel as leave-in
Grapeseed oil as sealant
Raked CK to damp hair
Scrunched some HETT gel

EXCELLENT hair day
2c-3aiii coarse
Low porosity, Low elasticity (I think)

I'm working my way down with sulfates. Used to SLS every day. For the last month I've worked down to SLES every second day. I still have "the greasies" on second day hair.

Today was a wash day. Used Paula's Choice.

Conditioned (RO) with last of my Cliniderm (aka Free and Clear). I think it's irritating my face...and it's not very conditioning.

Combed post shower and set my part. Applied 1 drop of Bliss Tips oil with "rake and shake" technique then scrunched a little. Clipped the right front out of my face and left.

Hair might be a little over oiled today. Wave formation is "good". Surface frizz is high. Smoothed in some water as it was 90% dry which stuck down the frizzies at least temporarily.

Suggestions/feedback very welcome!

2a(?)/F/ii (Fia).
New to having waves. Don't care if it's curly or not but this surface frizz drives me NUTS.
Baby Fine. On the thin side of average. Low porosity.

Same as last time...ding ding ding I may just have a routine after about 2 and a half years of experimenting!!

and less like this --------->
I had to wash again today: yesterday was the last of my Cliniderm conditioner. Either I've become allergic to it, or something contaminated the almost empty bottle. I had hives and itches on the back of my neck so bad that it woke me up this morning. My face had been tight and irritated all yesterday.

So, I woke up early and put a little bit of my new AO Camomile Volumizing conditioner on the back of my hand as a patch test. In half an hour it felt ok, so I used it today in the shower. I used H&S shampoo because it's my go-to fixer when my skin/scalp gets upset.

The conditioner was pretty smelly. Gross even. A nice consistency to it...but it didn't give much slip. I had a few extra minutes after combing out post-shower so I applied a Tbsp of FOTE aloe gel and diffused for a few minutes.

Hair is about the same waviness as yesterday. Same halo frizz. Dunno if it's the conditioner or the gel, but my hair is sticky/stringy (as opposed to yesterday's oily stringy).

Was in the mood so I brushed (gasp) out my crunch then ran wet fingers over the surface of my hair. I like the way this gives me volume and wave and not stringyness. Looks average to above average (still with the halo frizz). Feels dryish. Could be the nasty SLS in the H&S. Could be the conditioner wasn't enough.

BTW my neck still has one or two pimple like hive things, but it's not itchy any more. It feels like the H&S has "dried out" my itch.

Hopefully I won't have to shampoo tomorrow...just run wet hands over my hair and go. We'll see.

Your hair so beautiful! Completely in love with your curls....
Used my new Renpure green low poo followed by the last of my faux Matrix Amplifying conditioner. Detangled and rinsed upside down. Scrunched out water. Scrunched and smoothed in some CJCIAB. Scrunched in gobs of Dep orange gel. Plopped, scrunched in more gel, clipped, air dried.

I've got good volume, a bit of frizz and a few spirals here and there.

(Sorry for my lack of makeup)

Sort of CG sometimes, but not really

Cheetara, I never would have guessed you weren't wearing makeup, the natural look suits you nicely. Your waves look good!
Type 2b. Wash: WEN pomegranate or fig. Leave-in conditioner: Alaffia beautiful curls for wavy hair, Spiral Solutions Protein spray. Style: Curls In A Bottle, Ecostyler, or KCCC.
Cowashed with GVP TTO condish, okra mudd as leave-in, AOMM & FSG as curl enhancers, brhg gel.

I thought it'd be worth a try but the GVP TTO condish is going back, bleh. I knew better.

Here's what I did today:
Washed my hair with WEN fig
SS protein spray as leave-in
Applied a few drops of camellia oil (mostly on the ends)
Darcy's Botanical curling jelly for frizz control/styling
Diffused on cool setting.

I've been using WEN (pomegranate and fig) for about a month now, and love it. Over the last few years I've tried low 'poos, Devacurl, and CO washes with conditioners like VO5. None were moisturizing enough for my hair, and I always needed a rinse out conditioner after washing plus the occasional deep treatment. I'm not crazy about the menthol in WEN but at least it doesn't irritate my scalp.

The DB curling jelly is just okay. It doesn't seem to do much for my waves or encourage clumping. I'll probably go back to KCCC after I use this up.

It was TOO hot to mess with my hair much this morning, plus I had a coffee machine death in the house, so needless to say I was running behind.
I cowashed with DE Raspberry and used GFTN for my RO. I planned on pulling the front 'bangs' area back so I wasnt too concerned with getting perfect hair today. i raked and used a wide toothed comb after applying AFL, then raked in some HESMU. I didnt go crazy scrunching, but did just enough to get the waves going. Plopped while I got dressed and did minimal makeup, then diffused. I had a looser, slightly less crazy wave going on, and I liked it. The top was a little flat but that was fine since I pulled the front back anyway.
I like a looser wave now and then, I'll give this another try the next time I have some more time in the morning

DT'd over night with shea moisture stuff, it smells like sandalwood. What else smells like that? Ojon? Washed with Living Proof no frizz shampoo and conditioner, used their wave shaping curl cream.
I've had these for ages but not used them together.
lots of volume, very curly, kinda plasticy feel, but I'd never used it before so I used a lot. Easy to reshape with damp hands, no frzz, they mean it!
The shampoo and conditioner are very nice, and smell like tea.Worked outside all day in heat and humidity, and it looks good!
This thread seems fun, I want to play

Recently I seem to have figured out something weird about my hair. I may not be coarse after all, I think I'm more on the medium side because my hair is loving products that are both moisturizing and full of proteins. Weird. I used to avoid proteins like the plague because my hair was so dry, but now that it's healthier and much more moisturized, I'm realizing I might have just been wrong about my texture the whole time.

Anyways, I just repeated what I've been doing all week. Icequeen method, using Yes To Carrots as a co-wash (love love love), then a good handful of Giovanni Smooth as Silk (even more love) as an RO. Then I let it dry for a good 10-15 minutes, scrunch in some Pure Clean Gel, and after like five thousand hours it finally dries.

You can kinda-sorta see it in the attachment -- I have bigger wurls than usual, and they're much more spirally. Success! I need to find a way to get better... definition, is that the word I want? Maybe I should look into a curl creme.

I tried to have second day hair by using Argan Oil cream (came as free sample from Sally's), but it smells funny and didn't work very well.

I used a smidge too much gel yesterday so some parts were a little crunchy, but I think it worked out in the end because second day hair is a success! I didn't even need to do anything with it, really. Clumps are still well-defined, and yay. I think I'm really liking the Pure Clean gel.

Exactly 1 week cg and finally getting the hang of this. Been 100% silicone free the entire time but was unknowingly "low" pooing with an extremely strong sulfate shampoo (even though I was using tiny amounts it was stripping my hair like crazy).

I have been low pooing now with a tsp of organix coconut shampoo mixed in with garnier pure clean conditioner.

Today my hair still felt pretty clean so I only co-washed. I then scunched in A/G recoil activator and Aussie Aussome Volume Gel. Plopped for about 10 min and diffused. Bangs are straightened (I figure I will continue to do this to only them).

Still lacking the shine but considering I've been only a week cg I don't expect it yet. I am now a cg believer (modified for me). This is a life saver, my hair was starting to really feel the effects of straightening - and apparently the sulphates that I was unaware were drying it out.

2a. Medium texture. Medium/high porosity (I think!)
Used a tiny bit of my remaining precious hoarded SS MCS sample, RPT with the plastic bag on head cacophony method, some Caitlins to get the knots and tangles out (after not washing for a week, my hair was beginning to feel like a bird's nest in spots). Can I just take a moment to say how awesome Caitlin's condish is? A little does go a long way, it has excellent slip, isn't overly heavy on my fine hair, and smells great. In fact, I could see how much my hair was shining with just those products when I got out of the shower. I always get shinier hair with SS. It's really some awesome stuff.

Smoothed in (and raked a little) some CEJ spiked with FOTE since my CEJ is low, scrunched in about a fingertips worth of FHG upside down, and then I scrunched in a huge amount of Aussie Aussome Volume gel (can I just abbreviate this as AAV from now on?)...probably a quarter per side...it was very sticky and clumpy. No super soaking once I saw my clumps, no plopping either (partly because of the clumps and my hair looked pretty decent as it was and I was doing this really late and was already going to be diffusing past midnight). I scrunched a little extra water out with my plopping tee, but didn't want to disturb it all much.

Diffused my roots and part a bit, used high heat and low speed for about 20 seconds in all sections to help the gel start to set then flipped over a little, mindful of my part, and diffused normally in sections of about 45 seconds each back at the warm speed. Flipped back up, leaned over, diffused more of the sides. I'm still a bit damp, but not going to bed just yet, even though it is 1am now. Hopefully it will be dry enough in 30-45 minutes to go to bed. I'll let it rest over my pillow to finish air drying over night and SOTC in the morning, if there is any left. At least I don't have to be up til about 10:30 or so tomorrow morning.

Anywho, I think it will be good tomorrow.
