So 2's what did you do to your hair today?
I'm still recovering from my coconut oil disaster. Used my Treatment (sulfate) poo this morning and finally tried Cure Care for RO. TN for LI, re:coil, CK, and one of my new Matrix gels (the green curly brand). T-shirt scrunched (big mistake), plopped and air dryed. Curls are still limp, but feeling more like normal. Will probably use Treatment Shampoo a few more times over the next few days- believe it or not, I almost feel like it wasn't strong enough to tackle the coconut oil. Then I can start my co-washing experiments again.

Woohoo! Hair is back to normal today. Washed with Treatment Shampoo and used Effective Care for RO. TN for LI, re:coil and tried AG Liquid Effects gel. Consistency somewhere between biotera gel and CK. Hold is good. I had crunch to scrunch out, which was a good sign. Hair feels clean and it has its bounce back. Now I get to move on to my latest attempt at straight co-washing.

Today i washedmy hair with live clean apple cider viniger shampoo and conditioned with GFTN (the old kind) then i detangled and scrunched with a 100% cotton t-shirt untill damp and scrunched in GFPC gel. i then plopped for 30 min and let air dry. when it was completly dry i rearranged my parting and applied shea butter the the ends and mid lenghts! This is a awesome routine for me! i can't figure out how to get 2nd day har with it though.........

So today, I just used the DevaCare One condition to wash and condition, scrunched the conditioner in, splash rinsed it, scrunched damp with my curl cloth, applied and scrunched in Re:coil, pump and scrunched in ArcAngel gel, did 1 scrunch with the curl cloth, then pixie diffused halfway dry. Air dried the rest of the way then SOTC. This was my result.

Had to wash my hair again today because of all the St Patty's day glitter that somehow got into it. Used the re:coil again and the same procedures as yesterday. I think it's turned out better today. I might be on to something for my hair! Also caved in and bought a hair analysis today. Will mail off samples tomorrow.

Continuing my co-washing experiment- I'm on day 3 of co-washing, which I've typically found to be my max before I low-poo. Tried new suave radiant sunshine (or something like that). I was wary because the label mentioned how moisturizing it was. Scalp wasn't feeling great, so I used suave clarifying for a second co-wash (having flashbacks of lather-rinse-repeat). I think especially heading into spring summer I need to stick to clarifying and/or volumizing conditioners for co-washing.
In the interest of continuing my co-wash experiment I skipped my weekend clarify/PT/DT so I used CJ Repair Me as RO and Cure Care for LI. Still playing with Jessicurl, so used RR and CC, but this time I mixed the CC with CJPP in an attempt to increase clumping. Plopped about 10 min and air dried. Hair feels good and curls look great, but I ended up with white flakes, so I need to still modify this further.

Today I did a much needed BS/ACV rinse.
I added BS to my TJ Refresh in citrus, scrubbed my scalp and rinsed. Since I figured BS opens the cuticle, I would do a quick PT with Repair me while I did the rest of my shower. Rinsed that out and I was feeling a little dry (understandably), so I did a RO with CJ Rehab and all was well. Finished all this with a very diluted ACV rinse, of course.
Used some BCLI and CJPP, plopped, diffused and my hair is MUCH wavier than usual today! I think the 72 degrees outside, and the 50 degree dew are a big part of that. This is odd weather for this time of year in NH, but I'll take it!!

Today I did absolutely nothing. Ponytailed it. Tomorrow I'll probably do the same, since it's supposed to pour down a few inches of rain and storm all day. A sprinkle is one thing. A monsoon is another. Why bother
Plus I have 3 stitches in my right pinky now and keeping it dry and hair-goo free is a real b*tch haha.

French braid today; tomorrow makes me a little nervous because it's going to get up to 85 and somewhat high dewpoint, but I'm excited to see what I can do that will work.

Just a suggestion: these bandages are FANTASTIC at keeping water and such out of small incisions. Theyre bendy but stay in place. Easily found at drugstores, theyre worth a try.

Last night I did my first PT, using IAGirl's recipe. Never, never again will I use banana baby food in my PT. The smell was... not pleasant.
I followed up with a DT, using GVP CB. I rinsed out upside down, and then added leave-in, gel, and mousse. I clipped and air-dryed for awhile, and then I pineappled.
I don't really notice a huge difference in my hair today. *sigh* Perhaps I need to apply heat to my PT/DT.

For me I left the PT on my hair for an hour with a shower cap on and that was what made me notice a difference; leaving it on for 20 mins with a shower cap didn't do enough for me.

I'm on day 5 of my co-washing experiment. This is officially the longest I've gone without low-poo or even a cleansing conditioner. I'm also trying to adjust to the higher dew points this week. On the plus side, I'm getting much more volume with minimal effort. On the down side, I feel like I'm losing some definition. I basically ended up with poofy Shakira hair by the end of the day today.

Well, I finally revisited my protein-free AIF gel yesterday. And it was not at all what I remembered! My hair turned out pretty bad -- some places were crazy curly and others weren't, curl definition was lacking in general, and my hair definitely didn't have enough hold. I didn't like it at all. But, I don't think I used enough of it, and I also applied most of it to soaking wet hair, which I don't normally do (curl enhancer goes on soaking hair and gel on damper hair after I scrunch water out). I also used it over KMFUM, which I had never done before. So, LOTS of variables that weren't normally there -- not exactly the fairest re-trial. LOL. But, I don't think it's making me itchy now, which is a plus. Might be able to use it as an all-in-one prouct in the next few months.
What's REALLY puzzling me now, though, is that my hair is...kinda dry. I was sorta flipping out about trying something protein-free because I didn't want my hair to go limp or something, but it actually feels drier with the AIF than with my protein-filled EcoStyler! Go figure. Maybe my hair just isn't crazy about the AIF and it dries it out in general, or it could be a problem ingredient. Hmmm.
EDIT: LCL, in case I didn't tell you this already, your hair looks GREAT!! Reminds me of mine in a lot of ways, actually! But, I don't have your killer root curl.
