I know, right. I just want her to even out that bottom bit. Its way longer than the rest. I'm just getting long layers from someone who hopefully knows what their doing. I need it all trimmed up though. she does curly cuts, but not deva cuts. so we'll see how it goes.

The last lady tried to trim up my hair and didn't listen that my underneath doesn't curl at all. She just giggled at it and the pulled my top layer strait up and cut it. I was horrified.

I'm so excited for a haircut though. My bangs need a trim something awful.

Today was just a pony tail all day. I discovered this about a week ago, a shot of it after taking the pony down:

Ehhh, that's new but obviously been there a while given it's length.

My hair is officially recovering from The Great Accidental Over-Proteining of 2012 (In Which I Realize That My Hair Hates All Non-Keratin Protein), so I thought I'd post here to show the difference a little moisture makes...

My avatar is probably April-ish, with low-poo GTTT, RO SN Coconut, and I think a bizarre mix of CCCC lite, olive oil gel, and coconut oil with no particular styling technique (I had it up wet for awhile that day).

The first attached pic is from June (blue dress, face), about a month after chopping it short, low-poo'ed with GTTT, RO SN coconut, and most likely just gelled with the Garnier pure gel stuff (I still hadn't figured out what to do with my short hair) and hand-scrunched after being turbaned in a microfiber towel. The result was... sad. Very sad. But I thought it was a protein problem, so I embarked on reproteining... BIG MISTAKE. I do not have photographic evidence.

Other pic (the faceless one): 3 days after giving up all protein-enhanced products, following an overnight DT with 50:50 SN Ocean breeze and EVOO, low-poo'ed with GTTT, RO SN Ocean breeze, LI KCKT, t-shirt blotted/scrunched, KCCC a la smasters to about 75% dry, then SOTC with 2 drops argan oil when dry.

I typically don't diffuse, but it definitely adds in more curl (to my roots!). I am still trying to get the frizz/tangled-ness down - I want to try post-LI sealing with the argan oil tomorrow and let it air dry...

I co-washed with Tresemme Naturals, conditioned with Giovanni SAS Deeper Conditioner, rinsed using "icequeen" method and while my hair was still soaking wet I put back in some more Giovanni as a LI and then scrunched some of the water out. I got out of the shower, turned my head upside down, scrunched in my LA Looks Nutricurl Gel and then tshirt scrunched for a bit to get extra water out because it was still dripping. After that I put a little bit of Pantene Curls spray gel (it seems to moisturize and enhance my curls but doesn't provide as much hold as the other gel so I use both), styled it in a hairclip to hold the front back and let it air dry.

2b, low porosity, dense, medium

Co-Wash: Tresemme Naturals, SN Ocean Breeze
RO: Giovanni SAS Deeper Conditioner
LI: Giovanni SAS Deeper Conditioner, KCKT
Styling: LA Looks Nutricurl Gel, Pantene Curly Spray Gel

Today I the exact same thing as yesterday except that I mixed in a couple drops of my face oil (safflower with a little argan and rosehip) with KCKT and used the pixie diffusion method. I do not think my hair likes the oil - much more sticky and product-y than yesterday. I also still have a little halo of frizz, so the oil didn't really change that, and I think that no matter how I apply the diffuser, my hair will respond with a little frizz. Tomorrow I will just take out the oil and let everything air dry....

I just woke up. I obviously pineapple'd my hair from the night before. Last night, I rinsed and conditioned my hair with Tressemes Naturals moisture conditioner and then put in Deva Curl Arc Angel gel. Placed in my root clamps on, waited for a while, then when it was almost dry, diffused my hair with my new T3 evolution hairdryer and it's diffuser. (It's super great, highly recommended!)

Thanks. I'm over all very happy with it. I still have my blunt bangs, but they're not quite right since i got them cut. they need to grow a little bit.

but with all that length gone I feel like i have way more volume up top now. it's awesome.

Keeping up with my lighter products are better theory.... YTC shampoo, VO5 passion fruit RO, KCKT to detangle, & KCKT mixed with KCCC scrunched in. That made KCCC work for me, nothing is weighed down, & it's not too bad today! Used pretty small amts of everything.

Today, I low-pooed with Shea Moisture Curl & Shine Shampoo, detangled with KCKT, RO'd with Deep Treatment Masque. Then I used the Shea Moisture Curl & Style Milk and Curl-Enhancing Smoothie and scrunched it into wet but not dripping hair. Then I scrunched in AIA curling jelly and diffused my hair to about 30% dry. Drove to work (about an hour and a half) then SOTC and used a light-hold hair spray.
