Today I experimented with my samples from Kathy mac.
I washed with CJDFCC and used SSPR followed by SSCC (I'm patch testing the DD) sprayed a few spritzes of SSPS, SSCC as LI, EWSAJ and SSFHG. It was darn good, but not as good as yesterday. I think I just used too many products on it. I'm going to try the FHG as a curl enhancer instead of a gel too to see if it will work that way for me.

I low-pooed and used GFTN on the length. Then used suave coconut and combed my hair in the shower. Used Terax life drops LI and then plopped for awhile, clipped the front roots and air dried. After it was dry I added a little Ion alcohol free hair spray.
I like it!

Rymorg, I don't have a Target where I live, and the nearest ones to me (several hours away still) haven't gotten the CURLS line yet (I tried last week when I was there). I also don't have a credit card (our debits in Canada also aren't VISA/MC) so I can't order online...is there some kind of trade/swap we might be able to make to take some of the CURLS things off your hands? You can PM me if you want.

So far so good with the co-washing with SN Coconut.
Yesterday I straightened it (which I have allowed myself to do more and more - I think it is one of the great things about being a wavy - the ability to easily switch it up ).
Today I just used SAJ and CIAB. My hair is very soft and shiny, but I don't think it will last all day...we'll see.
Tomorrow I think I am going to just try LI under CIAB. I have been noticing a little white dust in my hair from the gels after I SOTC, so I am trying to see if CIAB works just as well.
ETA: It is close to end of the work day for me and my hair is still gowing strong. I am really liking this combo. My hair is still soft, bouncy, and shiny. Not as enhanced as with KMF UM, but I am loving it anyway.

Today was a non-wash day for me. Tomorrow morning I'll wash.
I scrunched in water until about 75% damp and applied some CJ CCCC lite and LALCG. Clipped and diffused till mostly dry then air dried on the way to work. I'm working an hour and a half away from home this week. It looked pretty darn good.....not as curly as yesterday but plenty of uniform waves that reached all the way to the scalp. I'll take it!

I did a PT and then DT (Spiral Solutions) yesterday, then used CEJ and FHG in sections. I diffused because I was going to work and I had time to do this all before work, but I was getting frizz. Then I realized I was on high speed and hot heat when the speed should have been on low. Also had some weird plop results. Pineappled last night. Hair wasn't wonderful today, but not horrible. I applied a little Curls Lavish Moisture spray to dry hair, and smoothed it a litttle, following with a little water. There's some nice spirals and waves, but they're mixed with flatter sections and there's the frizz. It's ok, just kind of messy.

I washed last night and didn't put any product in and let it airdry. So last night I did CJCACC and DermOrganics Argan oil Masque, followed with CJCR for moisture. I always follow protein with moisture. Air dried. Then this morning I scrunched in water until about 75% damp and then two dime sized blobs of CJCALI topped with LALCG. Scrunched out the dampness with a flour sack, clippied, diffused till 90% dry then air dried the rest of the way, SOTC with CJCCCCL. Not too shabby a hair day and dews were in the 70's.
I wanted to see how the LALCG would do with just a LI.

Well....
I flip my hair up side down after my shower, with leave in on my hands. i rake it through (upside down) Until all the clumps are gone. Then with emulsified boots curl creme i rake once/twice then scrunch and with my mousse just scrunch and rake the back. Plop for 15 minutes. My hair dries much quicker now.

I've been wearing the spin pins in a low bun the last 2 days. So glad that my buildup issues are resolved.. i was having to wash my hair every day there and buildup was a big issue for me. But lately ive been getting 3rd day hair fine. Ever since i switched co's from vo5 strawberry to natures gate tea tree, with a daily fix wash there in between. IDK if it was the vo5 or if i had some cone buildup from my last visit to the hairdresser ( i got them to use my CJ stuff but they used their own conditioner on me) or if the daily fix was what i needed for a reset. Guess i wont use that particular vo5 again just in case, but mmm it smelt so good. Anyone else get buildup from vo5?

Last night I co-washed with the Natures gate tea tree co. washes great.
And used my new samples got from wavyblonde! Spiral Solutions Curl Enhancing Gellie+
Kiss My Face Upper Management Gel.
I used SSCEJ first, maybe a quarter amount, smoothed on wet hair… then a fair bit of Upper management gel on top, scrunched in a bit more after smoothing some on.. plopped for 10 mins and let air dry the rest.
I couldnt get any good pics last night, but 2nd day hair is not bad.. see pic.
I like this combo.. the gel is medium hold and i had no crunch to scrunch out, it was so nice as i hate the crunch and with so much hair it is annoying to scrunch out. It has a nice non-producty feel. Hair was still fuzzy and frizzy, could be better.. but i like that it seems natural on my hair but wish it would make my curls curlier and more together with less fuzz.
also a question... last time i went to the hairdresser i got him to tone down my highlighters, but they are coming back, i guess the toner is wearing off.. is it safe enough for me to do it myself? if so should i get a box kit or go to sallys? can i buy toner by itself? just wondering, thanks for the help.

Today cowashed using the ice queen method.
I used a drugstore was condish of palmolive. Then I did loreal elvive nutriglos mask in my hair. Schrunched my hair up side down in the shower and whent on with my shower routine. Then I rinsed my head upside down with cool water. Next step was a pea size of KCNT.
For the styling I used Boots, KCCC and loreal invisif'x gel.
Its still drying but I think I might have a great hairday (evening).
But I forget a finall step I think.. My hair is hanging in all different ways.. whoehaa

dandy--you can use more of the SS CEJ (I know it's a sample and you prolly want to get several days' worth, though). I probably use 3 nickel or quarter-size globs on my hair. It doesn't build up. I just love your hair. I don't know what to do about the highlights, other than putting a semipermanent color over the whole thing in a shade that's close to your own.
holland--MUCH curlier! Looks great!

I don't do a leave-in with it. They seem to be pretty moisturizing on their own. You might try adding a teensy bit of BRHG to the UM and seeing if that helps with the frizz.

I tried my SS samples and used BB Suds. Washed with Suds(dusty hair from ATV ing) Applied SS protein repair, rinsed, squeezed out excess water and applied SScurl jelly and scrunched with flour sack towel and diffused. It looked really good. How does one use the SS protein spray? Before the jelly or what?

Today I water washed, then decided to co-wash a little. I used SS Caitlin's Conditioner. Probably should have only water washed, but whatever, today was an experiment anyhow. After I detangled, I rinsed upside down and scrunched in some SS CEJ and SS FHG and scrunched some more with my t-shirt. I wasn't going to plop inititally but in the end I decided to while I was getting dressed. Diffused on high heat, low speed upside down again, in sections. Eventually I flipped back up and diffused more, but with the heat on warm instead of hot. I tried fixing my part too. I definitely got more volume and curl (including the roots), but the trade off was frizz and a messy looking scalp/roots/crown area. Also, the back didn't seem to hold my curl much, and I am not sure whether that was lack of gel or improper diffusing...I'm still learning how to use the diffuser. So in some ways my hair came out better, and in other ways it was worse. I'll see if I can get pics later.
ETA: Here are some pics...I admit I picked the better looking ones from the batch I took, though even in these you can still see the frizz...it just doesn't look as bad here.
PS That's Schnuff the Magic Schnauzer in the background on the night stand. Isn't he so cute? :P

Help!! So this morning I decides to change up my routine. I had previously been doing the ice queen method, but my hair would come out horribly and all matted down. So today I tried doing something different:
-After I had washed out my conditioner, I put in my AG ReCoil first. I put one quarter sized in with all the hair flipped over to the right, and then another with all the hair flipped over to the left. Next I put in my HE totally twisted gel. I put one glob when all of the hair was flipped over to the right, another when it was flipped to the left, and then one last glob when my hair was flipped upside down. I then plopped for 30 minutes. When I took out the plop, I let it air dry for about 5 minutes until I got out my diffuser. I flipped all of my hair over to the right and diffused, flipped it to the left and diffused, and finally flipped upside down and diffused. Then I flipped back upwards and parted my hair.
My hair ended up having a LOT of surface frizz and the worst part was is that the top of my head is totally FLAT! I decided to try the whole flipping thing in order to get volume, but it turns out I got the opposite.
I think that the reason my hair went flat was because when I washed out my conditioner, I washed it right side up, so all the water was pushing my hair towards my scalp. However, when I wash upside down, my hair becomes a tangled mess.
So now I am currently sporting a ponytail. please of you have any advice or can point out where I made the mistake, please do!! I have been very frustrated lately with my hair and the last thing I want to do is go back to my straightener, so I hope I find a solution soon!
Thanks again!
