I'm actually quite happy with the new thingie I tried ( I finally found a routine that works for me! So happy! *PICS*), basically just trying that whole shenanigan about scrunching the gel in after toweling my hair (microfiber, about 5 mins, 50%ish dry). It worked super well for me, and the sigpic picture I have I took today of my hair!

I bought some Tresemme Naturals conditioner (the volumnizing one) on Monday. I tried it out on Tuesday. I wasn't quite sure of the scent at first, but I kind of like it now. Great slip. Not too much moisture, not too little moisture. Great as a daily conditioner.
Last night I shampooed (soap bar from kathymack) and used the Tresemme conditioner. I raked in a dime sized amount of Yes To Cucumbers conditioner as a leave-in and dried my hair off with a t-shirt. Scrunched in some FSG and plopped my hair in a turban overnight.
Looks good.
I'm still working on getting the left side to curl like the right side. Any suggestions?

Kayesbe uses CIAB mixed with gel. She does it with Chi, so I was thinking about doing it with LALSG, but maybe I'll do it with Eco... I want to try this tomorrow!
Finale, did you find your MM?

Solid, I did find it! I'm waiting for the weekend to try it out, because tomorrow I've got a client meeting, so I need to go with tried and true. I'll let you know how it goes!

Today was a total fail. I've been trying to work with my diffuser - so as to dry my hair quicker - but this blow drier attachment isnt being helpful at all. Today I co-washed normally, left the shower with soaking wet hair and ran some LA Looks gel all over my hair for hold. I skip curled my whole head - took about 30 min, scrunched, flipped head upside down, scrunched; and then proceeded to pixie diffuse... My hair looked crazy. I had no ringlets, my curls looked undone, there were no precious clumps. I had super messy hair. I then ran a comb to smooth the hair into a neat bun and my hair turned FLAT. Ugly flat. Bun day for me. No more diffusing.

A couple of the things you have tried will give me weird straight hair. LAL SG gave me super hard straight clumps. If this is your first time trying this gel, this could be the culprit. It is a HG for many, but it made my hair straight.
Skipcurling also gave me straight hair. by the time I was finishing the last skip curls, the first ones were unwinding and drying.
I wouldn't give up on diffusing just yet. Good Luck.

Today I used Jessicurl's hair cleansing cream and Aloeba conditioner, then styled with KCCC using a modified super soaker method. I comb the gel through my hair, then quickly dunk my head under the shower to re-wet and scrunch.
I can already tell my hair is going to take forever to dry, which often happens with KCCC (dewpoint is 62 here). It's worthwhile for me though because my hair needs the moisture.

What did I do today? I got too lazy to wash my hair again.. and my hair has once again become... giant sausage curls. I swear, this must be my natural curl pattern because my hair reverts to it whenever possible... but I don't even know how to type that kind of hair... it's so... odd.
At least you ladies are actually styling and making your hair look good! I think I'm lazy.

I shampooed with Garnier Fructis S&S shampoo, conditioned with GFS&S conditioner, then left in a little condish and scrunched my hair with a t-shirt until it was slightly wet, but mainly damp. Then I scrunched in some HESMU gel.

Today, I lowpoo'd with Burt's Bees Shiny Grapefruit, RO with Tresemme Naturals and then left a bit in, and then I scrunched in LALSG into soaking hair. Had to be somewhere, so I diffused upside down. Boo. It's frizzy and the curl is flat but all around my head is BIG. This was the first time I had used the Tresemme and the LALSG and the first time I had diffused since starting CG, so I don't know which product/technique was the problem!!! Argh. I don't know what I will do tomorrow!

i have that poo.. it makes my hair fuzzy.. i think it raises the cuticle some and an acv rinse after it would do the trick to smoothing it down.

Yesterday again i had a great hairday. It was mij 2nd hairday. I only sprayed a little water mixed with a fingertip of CJCCCC into my hair and scrunched
(upside down). Afterwords I scrunched in a little CJCCCC directly into my hair. Then I applied some loreal gel and diffused my hair upside down.
Today I did the same, 3rd day hair. It was the second time I mixed water with CJCCCC and it worked so well. I think this method is winner for me.

My hair ended up striaght today.
It's second day hair and the waves all fell out overnight and I did not feel like rewetting it. So I just finger-combed it with a little moisturizer and I've got straight hair - though it is BIG and with lots of body. I'll co-wash tonight and see what happens tomorrow. LOL
Where can I buy aloe-vera juice?

I decided to experiment today with Ecostyler OO and LOOC. I water washed my scalp then conditioned my length with Aura Cherry Almond Bark and after I did my cold water rinse I raked in some LOOC as my LI then mixed Ecostyler OO with some water and scrunched that in. I wasn't sure if the Ecostyler was going to be enough hold so I added some LALCG on top of that and scrunched more water out. After that I let it air dry for a bit. Then took my diffuser and ran it down the length of my hair for a few mins then again left it to air dry. Once I got to work and it was dry I scrunched out the crunch. Not really digging on my bangs but not much I can do about them till they grow out more.

I despise that shampoo - made my hair unmanageable, stripped and lifeless, regardless of what type of conditioner(s) I used! Haven't tried the Tresemme cond., but LALSG is an old-time favorite of mine. I usually used some sort of curl cream/enhancer under it.
It looks like maybe you don't have layers in your hair? If not, adding some would probably help release the curl and break up the sausage curls, making it look fuller.
Skip curling doesn't work very well for me - usually gives me little scraggly, ill-formed curls.
I like LALSG for hold, but as I mentioned above, it needs something under it to bump the curls up a bit. I only used about a quarter-sized amount for below shoulder length hair, combed thru for even distribution.
And, yes, do experiment more with diffusing. Whatever else I do to my hair, it does best when I first diffuse it upside down for at least a couple of minutes. That said, I rarely bother with "pixie" diffusing - too much trouble turning it off and on, it can't be good for the dryer, and I can tell little difference - JMO

Yesterday I cowashed with Aura cherry almond bark and my rinse out was BB smoothie. First time I've used the smoothie and I don't think it was moisturizing enough. I think I might use that was my cowash instead!
I styled by scrunching in BB FSG with some SS FHG on top. Ploppped, added a little more FSG and then scrunched a little bit more with my flour sack towel.
I don't think the SS FHG had enough hold but my hair was definitely clumpier!

Ok I showered a few hours ago and I think I'm having my best hair day ever! Too bad my camera is dead.
Water washed, rinse out was BB's smoothie. I squeezed out most of the water after my shower, used BellaCurl's leave in and then combed. Plopped for a few minutes, then mixed BB's FSG and BellaCurl's styling cream and scrunched in. Plopped again for about 10 mins. Scrunched in a little more FSG.
A couple hours later I decided to use one of BB's hair butters to SOTC and I think that was the trick! My hair now is soft, frizz free and smells great.
Today I used all protein free products so I don't know if that made the difference as well. I'm just glad to finally have a great hair day!

Just did a clarifying shampoo, Suave coconut condition, then CJ Smoothing Gellie and Deva Arc Angel. Still damp, but so far, pretty awesome!
