Awesome hair day. Too bad I took the kids swimming two hours after my shower. I co washed with Suave Coconut and then conditioned with Yes to Cucumbers. Applied Curl Keep, plopped for about 10 minutes and air dried. Gorgeous ringlets!

3A - I think!

I like to use, but not all at once:
Wash: V05 Tea Therapy or CJ Daily Fix
Condition: CJ Curl Rehab (apply as needed, not daily)
Style: CCCC Lite, CIAB, and BRHG. KCCC is my #1 product
Great Hair! Raked in Condish, Rinsed out (Not upside down). Flipped over and raked in LI (GF Repair and Shine) added some water (Scrunched in) and scrunched in Gel. Immediately Scrunched with t-shirt.

After not liking my hair from last night's pinapple, I reshowered and did a pretty simple routine to see if my hair would perk up to it.
First I low pooed (nothing special) and conditioned (GVP Conditioning Balm) as normal. Then I flipped over and scrunched in a tiny bit of my conditioner as a LI upside down to try and encourage some better root curl.
I basically just flipped up, parted my hair (using fingers, my part is pretty accustomed to it's spot and easy to find), then flipped back over and scrunched in my Biotera Gel. I flipped up and just really scrunched my canopy (no extra gel, just scrunched it), then flipped over and once again did a lot of scrunching to my roots.
After all that I just transferred my hair into a plop and left it in for about 30 minutes. It's still drying, so I'll post pictures maybe later if it turns out nicely.
curly hair and proud (:

Today I was too lazy to wash my hair. I spritzed it with watered down hair gel, scrunched, and diffused, and it ended up looking horrible and stringy. I tried to put it up, but it was ridiculously tangled, and in a fit of rage, I did the unthinkable. I brushed my hair. Here's what it looked like:

It flattened out my waves, but it wasn't tangled or crunchy anymore. Desperate to get the waves back, I used my watered down gel again and diffused it again, and this was the result:

My younger brother even noticed and complimented it, also telling me how bad it looked yesterday. The BF loves it and I'm quite surprised to learn that my hair actually seems to like being brushed!

Thank you! I'm hoping I can replicate the results today after washing it. Believe it or not, that was 3rd day hair and it looked better than my 1st day hair ever has.... I invested in a boar bristle brush, which seems to be right for my hair. We'll see how it goes....

Good hair day! WOOT!

I used Tresemme naturals for a rinse-out (no cowash). Rinsed upside down under cold water then raked in homemade FSG, scrunched in Ecostyler Krystal. Plopped for 20 minutes, clipped and air dried (car diffused for 25 min too).

This is just after SOTC.

Sorry for the overexposed pic but it's easier to see my dark hair.

Finally, my problem area - straight underlayer.

Sort of CG sometimes, but not really

Looks good Erin! I'm envious of the body your hair has, and how little frizz there seems to be.

As for how it looked today, I'm getting nearer to getting consistent results. It's flatter today, probably from deep conditioning, and less wavy, but it doesn't look stringy anymore! I almost feel victorious.

Today I cowashed with my CJ Beauticurls condish because I forgot I bought the Giovanni's TTTT condish. Oh well. I then rinsed out with CJ Rehab because my hair was feeling pretty dry still. Mod ice queen then scrunched some more water out after the shower.

Applied a few small blobs of CJ CCCC lite, plop, then a few blobs of SS FHG and a little got2be spiked. My hair doesn't look the greatest and I think it's a little overmoisturized from all the products I used today. It's drying without any crunch which is probably not good! I heard the got2be spiked is a good hard hold gel alternative to BRHG but it doesn't seem very hard hold!
Coarse texture, normal-high porosity, normal elasticity (Komaza Care), very weak waves
cleanser: Redken Fresh Curls Shampoo, CJ Daily Fix

rinse out: CJ Beauticurls, CJ A&OO, CJ Smoothing

jellies/creams: Mop C, KCCC, SCE FSG
gels: CJ CQ, BRHG

Cowash wr, rinse out renpure, leave in YTcukes, gel HE TT. Blew it straight.
I tried my sisters jason jojoba low poo a few weeks ago and got a dry gummy feeling. I got a dry gummy feeling from AOHR (has jojoba) too. I tried aussie moist on a test section in the back of my hair. It has a tiny bit of jojoba (and a partially water soluble cone). I got a bit of the coated, gummy feeling again. I'm pretty sure my hair hates jojoba too.
Ugg. If I can't use jojoba and can't use daily aloe, finding a conditioner for my dry hair isn't going to be easy. Maybe I'll take Goobernuts suggestion and make one. Or maybe I'll just decide the one I have is good enough.

I didn't get to wash yesterday as planned, so last night I wet my hair and put it up into 2 buns and slept. Took them down this morning. I had some major pouffy hair, though I had curls. Within a few hours at work, I pulled my hair back into two braids to hide it all and flatten it some. Just a bit ago, I low poo'd and conditioned with my Lloyd's and added some BS Cottonseed Curl Boost and a little FOTE. I have a plop up and will add some HEBE in a bit (after I finish eating dinner) and diffuse. I don't know if I am going to super soak or not when I add the gel yet. I'll see how it is with the plop off.

Today I decided to go for a different look.

I washed with CJDF and conditioned with CJCF. Used SSPS, put in a quarter sized blob of CCCC the regular one, mini supersoak by scrunching in just a few palmfuls of water, and topped with BBFSG. Scrunched with CLU, plopped in flour sack for a few, then clippied and rescrunched with CLU where needed. Air dried awhile and diffused the rest of the way, turning my head upside down, not pixiecurling, just cupping my wurls into it and moving it around. I ended up with volume volume volume, but less definition, but still great wave! I took pics but will have to post later.

There was no point in washing and doing my hair today since it's going to thunderstorm till late afternoon. My hair refuses to dry under such conditions.

So I took down my pineapple, scrunched in a bunch of KCSS and water. Then I arranged my hair in barrettes and flat ironed my bangs. I would say my 2nd day hair is (barely) adequate.

Bad hair day!

I did a DT last night and I think that was a mistake. I think my hair may be over-conditioned. So after the DT, I just put a small dab of GFTN as leave-in. I bought some KCCC so I used that as my gel and just a small dab of BRHG. My hair is completely dry, but looks wet. My waves are okay, but kind of weighed down.

I was excited about the KCCC b/c I used it this past weekend with good results, but I'm think it combined with the DT has made my hair too moisturized.

What is a quick fix for this?
Me: 2c, medium-coarse, thick
Began my mod-CG routine May 2010

DD (6 yo): 3c (tightly-curly girl) - now loving KCCC for her!
DS (3 yo): a mix of 3b/3c/4a
Kris, if you're not protein sensitive, a small hit of protein can fix OC'ing.
Location: West Virginia (Eastern Panhandle)
2b/cMii, medium-high porosity

Likes protein and most oils, HATES mineral oil
Summer Routine
Poo: Tresemme Naturals Nourishing Moisture
Cowash CJ Daily Fix
Rinse out: Tresemme Naturals Nourishing Moisture
Leave In: Tresemme Naturals Nourishing Moisture, SSRPT
Stylers: Ecostyler Krystal, LALSG (in really high dews)
PT: SS Repairing Protein Treatment
