my tummble

Funny story about stairs - one evening, my husband was grumping about taking out the garbage so I decided to do it myself. We had had a big rainstorm that evening and our front steps were slick from the rain. I slipped and fell and severly sprained my ankle (the ER Dr said it wouldn't have hurt as bad if I had just broken it instead). But now I don't have to take out the garbage anymore.

I hope you feel better soon! Enjoy those paid meds!

I think i will indulge myself tonight with some meds. My foot seems to hurt more today than two days ago. Boo! and it's blasting cold here. My feet will NOT warm up.

BUT did you have a glamorous bruise like me?

Oh my gosh yes, like instantaneous bruising! And even tho I sprained my ankle, I had bruising down to my toes, it was bizarre! Even after 2 children, I don't think I ever truly knew pain till that happened, tore 2 ligaments and had to have physical therapy and ALL of it over having to take the garbage out!!!

Sally's beauty supply. I think it costs around $7 or $8. It is a joico knock-off. A lot of people on here really like it! Do you lo poo??

argh wavy! that's a nasty bruise. Thank goodness you didn't break anything, but as in msqueen's experience sprains can be just as awful as breaks sometimes. I hope the bruising is going down and you're getting better.

well why shouldn't your hair be pampered? I bet you've been doing a lot of sitting with your ankle raised.

take care of yourself.

Aiming to grow hair to waist from buzz cut - slowly but surely.
ugh! i'm so frustrated with this foot. I haven't been able to go to the gym. Sitting around a lot is not good for the waistline. None of my clothes are fitting. It's very depressing anyways, i hope tp be all good by monday

Did the dr tell you what you can and can't do? perhaps you could swim - maybe best just using you're arms though?

Also when my bf hurt his knee he starting using a arm cardio thing at the gym - kind of like a set of bike pedals that you push with your arms - no idea what it's called?

Ouch, that bruise looks painful. I hope you heal quickly so you can get back to the normal routine! I imagine it is very hard to be stuck. My step-mom just had foot surgery and I gave her all my pilates DVD's, many of the exercises can be done lying down, that way she is still able to get some exercise in. That may be an option, if you have any!
thanks guys!! I'm hoping I will be back to the gym on Monday. Fingers and toes crossed. I feel so gross right now. I still have my holiday weight on me and nothing in my closet fits. Hopefully by this time next week I will be feeling MUCH better.
Yikes. I'm glad you suffered no broken bones.
yipes.
That's an impressive bruise!

wavy - It's SOOO bizarre, tons of people I know have fallen down the stairs recently within the past month or 2. I fell down the stairs (just a bruise on my bum and tailbone), and then 2 other friends fell down the stairs and got some bruises all over (nothing like yours!). SO weird.

theeeeen I killed a spider on halloween (oh the irony) and stood on a folding chair... and it collapsed when I was getting down. funnier thing is that I had to get up and down off the couch all night to give candy to the trick or treaters. I ended up hurting a nerve in my foot (still hurts here and there)...

ouch! glad you're ok though
