Lightbulb HETS

Hey all,
What are your thoughts on Herbal Essences Tossle me Softly?

It has bis-aminopropyl dimethacone, is this good/bad. I thought cones were bad?

For every curly on the forums, you'll find a different opinion on that type of cone.

The Bis-aminopropyl dimethicone is basically the same in structure to the a-cone. So, some people have a problem with build up, some don't. I don't have an issue with it really. I think if you use the a-cone, you're considered modified CG, because its not technically water soluble.

Some people follow the Curly Girl routine because they believe silicones suffocate the hair and do not allow proper moisture to the hair shaft. Some follow the CG routine because they have noticed a build up with silicones, so they follow a routine to avoid them. For some, the cones are weigh down the hair, providing for less than optimum curl.

I low poo once a week(ish) and so I don't mind a cone here and there although just a dash - too much weighs me down and gives me frizz.

That said, I used the cream over the summer and liked it quite a bit. I used it by itself for a really soft natural look and under a bit of gel for something more structured. I also added some water to it in my palm and used it like that to fluff up second day hair.

I love it. I bought the shampoo, conditioner, mousse, and hairspray. It brought new life to my waves!
