New Hair Idol Pic
Okay, so I caught a glimpse of a movie I hadn't seen before while getting ready for my girls night out dinner last night. I think it was called "The Women". But what REALLY caught my eye was Meg Ryan's HAIR!!!! The movie is from 2008.
OMG I want this HAIR! When I saw it in the movie I hoped that it could be natural, but after seeing it in this pic, I'm almost sure that its crafted -- i.e. rollers or curling irons. It LOOKs like it could almost be natural though. I want this hair only with my dark brown...sigh. If my hair keeps its current pattern -- it MIGHT ALMOST JUST SORTA look like this when it gets long. Minus some of the volume. Obviously. It just made me happy to think that my own hair MIGHT look SORTA similar one day. LOL.
Obviously, NOT the straight haired picl. However, her expressions cracked me up, and its so typical meg ryan, so I had to use this pic.
I think there was a thread with this title, but I was being lazy and didn't look it up. Its not cause I think I'm special and need my own post.

I thin most wavy hairstyles for actresses are crafted. They have to be able to cut things they film on two separate days together into one scene. Try getting natural hair to look the same on two separate days.
I think you hair would be cute like that.
Guano-I haven't seen the new movie, but I love the old versions of The Women. The 1950's one is pretty good, but the 1939 version is one of my favorite all time movies. Directed by George Cukor with an all star cast including the man stealing Joan Crawford. They play it on TCM once in a while if anyone is interested.
I forgot to mention that the entire cast of the 1939 version is female, including the animals.

They probably fixed her hair to get it to look that way but she has wavy hair--not straight. To get it straight she has to cut it very short (the pixie cuts you've seen her with) or flat iron it.
I read she doesn't relax it..not sure how accurate that is..but she is definitely a wavy
I almost always love her hair!

That's funny, because I don't find her or her hair to be attractive at all. However, that picture of Meg Ryan's hair is awesome. My hair doesn't look like that when it's long sadly, it just looks weird and lumpy.

I was reading a review of it (cause I had no idea what it was about, but it was mildly interesting to catch parts of while I was getting ready) and the 2008 version does use an all female cast etc, but the reviewer said the director totally loses the point of the original movies/plays. I seriously wanna see the originals now! I'll have to see if I can get the 1939 version on Netflix or on demand.
Wavy, that girl is beautiful! Seriously though, her hair screams "hot rollers" so, I"m trying to pick hair idols that are REAListic lol. I am not going to hot roll or curl my hair every morning. ever. again.

I'm pretty sure Meg Ryan's hair is naturally wavy, but that particular style probably had some help from a curling iron. Like someone else said, actresses have to have consistent hair for multi-day shoots and we all know how wavy hair can vary dramatically from day to day...
It is absolutely gorgeous though, I wish my hair would do nice regular waves like that! Instead I have spots that are 3a corkscrews and others that are almost straight ... and the exciting part is I never know which part will do what on any given day!

i critized her hair being fake too and someone posted a pic, she really is curly, although, yeah, her hair may be "fixed" here. I still would do her and she isn't even my "type". lol.

Goob, I also want Meg's wavy hair!
Wasn't her hair natural in When Harry Met Sally? Definitely not wavy like the above pic, but she's definitely 2a/b, at least.

I love Meg Ryan!! I don't think her hair in the above pic looks crafted at all. To me it looks like it might have been diffused for quite awhile -- you can see the frizz on the sides; mine does that if I diffuse too long -- but it sure doesn't look like curlers or an iron was used to me. From what I've read she's natural wavy. And don't you love how they had her all curly when she was a wreck in the beginning and then had her straight when she was "more together"? Grrrrr........................

It does look like its done with a curling iron or rollers especially the sides/front parts. If im not mistaken she actually looks like she has extensions in. Looks like it by her staight hair. If it is extensions it still looks nice.
