Default annoyed

SOoooOOOo today I do my PT and wash -- and the EXACT same styling products I used on Friday -- and I got craptastic results.

I just used different amts. SOOOOOOoooOOOoo annoyed. I thought I was a little heavy handed with the curl enhancer last time I washed, so I thought I'd try a little less this time.

I was SOOOOOOOOOOO wrong. Wrong wrong wrong.

It looks like I didn't style my hair at all. Total complete failure.

I didn't put in the names of products -- because one, its not their fault lol, and two, this happens to me a lot. the smallest tweak in the amt of product can result in perfection or disaster.

it just leaves me mad. that's all.

This happens to me a lot, too. Getting the right amount of product is one of my biggest frustrations.

Talking

Agreed! Same thing happens to me!

I hate it!!

Sometimes I also don't remember exactly what I did either--so this gives me the lovely problem of trying to figure out what would be less/more.

No good.

Tomorrow is a new hair day

Do you use a leave-in conditioner under your curl enhancer? Some curl enhancers already have conditioning ingredients to smooth & define your curls and will work better without a LI. Everyone's hair is different, and curl enhancers can vary a lot...but it might be worth experimenting with ...

Default I always go for "more"

I've not managed to over-apply anything, ever, with a couple of notable exceptions where I went really overboard with a hard hold gel or something.

So for leave in, curl cremes, lighter hold gel, my hair just seems to think more is better. So that's my general rule. When in doubt, use more. I mean I probably leave in as much conditioner as most people rinse out, and 4x 2T gel, and it doesn't end up looking greasy or crispy once it's dry and scrunched out, doesn't get dirty real fast or anything, it just looks like hair.

Which is good because I have a big problem with getting even application all over, so having more to spread around really really helps.
