My Amla came today!

I'll be looking for pics in the AM-I'm gonna aphogee tonight rather than amla, see if I can lose these straight pieces.

it's baking in my hair and my face. I just scared the be-jesus out of the hubs

My plans got changed for me-DS and I are waiting on the Xhubby to go to the ER-he got run over by another kid on a bike at daycare and I think he either sprained or broke his wrist.

They didn't bother to call and let me know when it happened, they waited til I picked him up which peeves me to NO end, and they're gonna hear all about it monday, but yeah.

We're off to get an xray.

Didn't seem to really give me and more curl enhancement. But then again my hair is pretty short and the curl pattern probably doesn't start till further down. I'm bummed
Crud! Sorry it didn't do much for you Wavy-I wonder if another round would do anything? It's supposed to have a cumulative effect, and the monster thread gave me the impression that after 3 or 4 rounds, you really saw something. I don't know.

As far as DS goes,

Well we have a hard splint til monday, then we get a cast. Buckle fracture to wrist. Minor displacement (five degrees or so). Hes young enough (three) that it will remodel so no setting necessary. Just casting to limit movement. I still have some butter oil, so we'll mix that with CLO and increase our soups on the menu (bone broth) so hopefully, we'll be out of a cast in a couple weeks.

I'm bent, though-what if he had minor symptoms of appendicitis-would they just let that go until five oclock too? What if he'd hit his head rather than landed on his arm? Would taking the bike away for the rest of the day be suitable punishment then?

And, to top it off, my dog (11 year old catahoula) had obviously had seizures during the day, probably a several, and had another when we got home.

So I hauled him to the vet (thank God my ex hubby stayed to watch DS) and dropped another $200. I'm gonna have to put him down-I can not deal with a seizure prone fecal incontinent, arthritic dog. I feel horrible, but I just can't do it. Between my health issues, and DS's, I have enough on my plate. This hasn't been a fun weekend so far. But, that's the game with pets-you have to decide when enough is enough, and three scrips already,(thyroid meds, denamarin for liver issues, and rimadyl) just for the dog, is plenty. I'm not adding phenobarb to the mix.

Ugh. I hate putting animals down. We rescued Z though, haven't had him long enough to be really attached. Be grateful for small blessings, I guess.

I'm off to bed. I shared my queen bed with DS and xhubby last night-and didn't get home til after 1. DS was up at 6, and i think I might have gotten a couple hours of sleep in between.

And the school--give them H.E. double toothpick. Seriously!!!! My son's school once "lost him"..he has Autism and he was about 2 seconds from being run over by a car...neighbor grabbed him. called cops. went to school..but its in a rich neighborhood and is "the school" so they tried to cover it up. NEVER even called me..I had to have a cop interview me before I knew what happened.

TBL: They do things for THEMSELVES. IMHO you have to be hyper vigilant...I would seriously go off on them..and while I am mostly mild mannered I can be a very nasty beooottcch when needed. Seriously--good thing he's young and it will heal well...and it wasn't something that could have had a different outcome. My thoughts are with you.

Wow, I miss some serious adventures while I'm playing my video games lol.

Poor Ekleck!

I got my amla from Hennaforhair when I ordered some other stuff. Cheap, but I don't think its as cheap as Hesh. I looked up indian groceries in my area, and I keep meaning to go. Never enough time.

I'm sorry about the furbaby. Its a really hard decision. I'll be thinking of you.

And I'm sorry your DS got hurt! Totally rip the school a new one. They deserve it.

Ekleck - sounds like you've had a week from hell you poor thing.

I would definitely have a "talk" to the school about DS, they should call you straight away if they suspect a serious injury. *shakes head* I don't know what things are like over there, but here you can claim with the school to get them to pay for the medical bills (or at least some) if they are injured at school.

sorry to hear about your furbaby too my bf's family decided to put their dog down she had heart/lung problems. It was a very hard day and he was emotionally drained. However it was the right thing for them to do for them and the dog. Lessened the suffering of both parties. It's a hard decision but one that you'll know what to do when the time comes.

sending good vibes your way (hehe at least trying )

Aw, thanks guys. Good ol' Z went away today, and following the dirty deed, D (ex hubby) said that there was a very obvious 'infected' smell coming from his head, so that, combined with his chronic halitosis, makes me wonder if perhaps he didn't have an intracranial abcess. He feels better now though.

DS gets his new cast tomorrow, he hasn't slowed down a bit. Goofy kid. He's all excited. The daycare is getting a buttchewin' from both dad and me. D is even more bent than I am. On the plus side though, there may be hope for us. Not sure if that's the right way to go or not, but it's been two years, and we're still wishing things had happened differently, so maybe. Who knows.

Thank heavens the weekend from hell is nearly over.
