I really don't like my hairstyle since cutting it short as most of you know. So I decided to straighten it today and I really like how it came out. It looks more sophisticated than my other two looks I had posted.

But it makes me sad because I don't want to straighten it. I'm trying to love my curls but the cutesy look isn't doing it for me.

*sigh* Someone pass me the Jessica Simpson hair extensions.

I've been told and thought the same thing. Having my hair curly seems to make me look young or playful & flirty or cutesy as you put it and the straight hair made me look more mature.

Here's the kicker, do we think that because that's what we were taught to think when looking at hair. People judge you by appearances all the time and our hair is apart of that. Hell I think that sometimes we're even judged because of the color of our hair too.

Whenever I've had to go to job interviews I always straightened my hair.

In the long run your the one that you have to please. Love yourself, Love your hair and do what you feel is right with it.

Ha! That's not me! Its Evangeline Lilly from LOST! She is pretty fabulous looking though. She could play me in a movie anytime.


I remember watching something awhile back about straight vs. curly hair with kids, work, etc. The results were not good on account of us curlies. I do think there's a social stigma attached with curly and/or straight hair. I'll have to go do some research.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my curly hair. I just liked it better when it was longer. I felt sexier and more attractive. Its hard for me not to look "cute" because I'm short and have young features.

Oh well! C'est la vie!
